I have a brother, he is 5 years older than me. In the beginning of my life, where you would believe I am ordinary. You would be correct. Basic Texas family, Texas girl living in a little Texas town, Orangefield. I grew up loving God, family, and football. A little blonde hair, blue eyed girl who would rather play with a football than a baby doll. Yes, that was me. If you could not already tell, Remember the Titans is my favorite movie. I was and still am a daddy’s girl with my momma’s attitude. Now onto the interesting section of this essay. …show more content…
When I think about that statement one moment stands out to me automatically. The summer I had to leave all I knew behind. I was in second grade. My parents sat me down, they told me we were moving. As a coach's kid, moving is a part of our nature. My heart broke when my parents told me. My family, friends, and life were here. How was I supposed to leave? I was too young to know the feeling of leaving. This moment in my life, I was changed forever. This moment, I had to grow up. I had to present myself strong, to my family and my new town. Coming to a new school was obviously a hard adjustment. Thankfully, being young girls are not as rude. Being young you should never be comfortable with leaving. But, there I was, a 8 year old girl, adjusting to a move that was never expected. When you are a 8 year old girl, you should never be starting over your life. “Hi, my name is Hannah Morrison. I am new

Imagine parachutes loaded with chocolate and gum floating down from the heavens. The children of West Berlin deserved the sweet gifts after going through the tragedy of the loss of loved ones and the destruction of their city. Gail Halvorsen was an angel to these children. He delivered candy to the young war survivors. As a young boy Gail Halvorsen would watch beautiful silver airplanes fly high in the sky, going to faraway places. He never imagined that one day he would fly a plane carrying food to the starving boys and girls of West Berlin. Halvorsen arrived in Tempelhof, where he met thirty young children. “Their pride and dignity moved me”, said Lt. Halvorsen. He gave them all he had: two sticks of gum, and that's where the journey began. I firmly believe that Gail Halvorsen is an American leader that influenced many lives in Berlin after World War II.…

At the mere age of thirteen, Hamilton experienced something life changing: having an arm bitten off by a shark while surfing. Surfing had always meant the world to Bethany, in fact, her career as a surfer was primarily initiated because of her parents (Hamilton 7). From the moment Hamilton reaches the board, an inexplicable connection sparks. Bethany said “I’ve tried to explain why I feel the way I do and it's impossible. Only surfers get it: the rush, the addiction, the way it stirs your heart, plays with your head, and tortures your body (Hamilton 119) .” Although at times there were downsides, being the youngest of three and the only girl had its benefits. She always engaged in similar activities and the outcome was that she learned to be very ambitious and was always driven to be the…
