Hannah Is She Cool
MOM: Where is Elder Eldredge from?

MOM: How long has he been out?

MOM: Is he the District Leader?

MOM: Do you and Elder Eldredge exercise every morning? If so, what do you do?

MOM: How do you like living with two sets of missionaries?

MOM: Is there any of the Elders that bug you?

MOM: Are any of the Elder selfish with food or personal space?

MOM: Are you feeling well? (I mean like MTC stuff.)

MOM: Can I please ask you to exercise every day and obey the Dr. in the MTC?

MOM: Are you strictly on a bike? Do you ever use a car?

MOM: Does your apartment have an air conditioner in it?

MOM: Do you have a washer and dryer in your apartment? In your building? Do you have to go to a laundry mat?

MOM: Are you taking any meds now?

MOM: Did you go to the dentist and get your cavities fixed? Did you get new retainers?

MOM: In the Baptismal picture of Brodie Phillips, there is another young man. Is this Brodie’s brother?

MOM: Is this other man a member of the church?

MOM: Is President Toone from Canada or Utah? Did they live in Utah for a short time and then move to Canada? Or are they long-time residents of Canada?

MOM: Do you think Sister Toone tells everyone that she loves their tie?

MOM: Are your ties nicer than most missionaries?

MOM: Do you want me to keep sending more ties or do you have enough?

MOM: Do people give you water when you are walking in neighborhoods?

MOM: Is it a new rule that you can’t have a backpack? Are you going to be required to use a shoulder bag like some missions?

MOM: Does your GPS work when you are walking or on a bike? Or only in a car?

MOM: Lots of Moms are talking about “Garmin.” I had no idea what that was so I looked it up. I saw that it is a brand of GPS. Do you feel that your GPS isn’t as good as other missionaries? Does it work sufficiently for you? Do you need something different from what you have?

MOM: Do you have enough

Thank God for braces. After eight years of an oppressive overbite, my teeth were at a loss, with no end in sight. Old thumb-sucking habits over-crowded or spaced out some teeth. Gaps and crooked teeth made me afraid to socialize for fear of people seeing this monstrosity, so I stopped smiling. My parents prodded me to say “cheese” in pictures, but my smile looked more painful than pleasant. My hopes of having nice teeth darkened, but my teeth relentlessly yearned for one to rescue them from their distress.…

Hannah Hoch was born in Germany in 1889. In 1912 she attended the School of Applied Arts in Berlin. As to please her father she chose the curriculum of glass design and graphic arts, rather than fine arts. Two years later, at the start of World War One, Hoch left the school and began working with the Red Cross. She then returned to the art school, this time working in graphic arts. After finishing her schooling, Hoch designed dress and embroidery patterns. In some of Hoch’s later works, there are traces of ideas that resemble dress patterns. Hannah Hoch’s most famous works of art are photomontages. A distinctive feature throughout her photomontages is the manipulation of human body parts. She used this feature to present her views on the modern topic of the “New Women”. The main theme that Hannah Hoch portrays is an issue that is extremely prominent now – probably more than it was in Hoch’s lifetime – of the views that society has set about the image of an idealistic women. Geolocation has truly made an impact on the world. In the past, individuals used to print out their directions and used paper to tell them where to go. The only problem with this is that you could potentially lose the paper or if you wanted to do add a route onto it, there was no possible way because you wouldn’t have access to the Internet. Now with the onslaught of Smartphones, tablets, etc. you can plug in your information and your current location is already saved on the server. You are able to find your current location on your mobile device by the GPS chip that is installed on them. The GPS chip is where all of the data is stored, sent, and received. Smartphones, tablet, and Internet devices all should have GPS chips within their systems. The iPhone and “The iPad 2 Wi-Fi + 3G models do have built-in GPS chips that receive signals from the global GPS satellite system to determine your location - as closely as three meters, depending the number of satellite signals the chip is receiving. GPS in the iPad 2 is classed as assisted GPS, also known as AGPS, which enhances the performance of standard GPS in devices connected to Wi-Fi or the cellular network. The iPad 2 W-Fi + 3G may be used for the full range of apps that require detailed location information wherever you may be…
