Introduction
Dating back from 1900, Yeo Hiap Seng, founder of (Yeo's) has now become synonymous with the food & beverage industry both locally and internationally. Today, the Yeo Hiap Seng group, which is a public listed company on the Bursa Malaysia, is involved principally in the production, marketing and sale of food and beverage products under the brand names of 'Yeo's', 'Cintan', 'Justea', 'SoyRich', 'H-Two-O' and 'Yogurt'.
With a significant market presence in the ethnic market and in line with the government's aim to further develop the Malaysian halal brand as a global benchmark, Yeo's leverages on Malaysia's role as the world's Halal manufacturing hub.

The most recent award that Yeo’s received is in 2010 we were honoured with a prestigious award which is Putra Brands Awards 2010 for the category of Beverage – Non Alcoholic (Bronze), presented by Association of Accredited Advertising Agents Malaysia (4As).
Currently our company’s CEO Mr. Tjong Yik Min has proposed to open its own production operation in a neighbouring country and to focus on producing Halal products to market to Muslim consumers.
In that manner, the HR Manager of the company, have been given a task to establish the new HR department in overseas.

Objectives
The objectives of that follow in establishing the new branch is to: * Survey the strategic intelligence of the new locality * Organize new work force and their training and development * Decide departmentalization * Cover safety and health of worker * Provide workforce retentions

Case Studies
In order to fulfil the objectives, a survey to three neighbouring country which is Indonesia, Myanmar and Philippines was conducted to decide the best possible place.
Indonesia
The survey conducted in Indonesia resulted as follow: * Strategic intelligence: i. Infrastructure
With population of 237,556,363 people and growing, Indonesia is moving toward to enhance their infrastructure to cooperate
