Hanasaku-Ch Death Of A Young Beautiful Woman
"Hanasaku-chan," came the melodic voice on the other side of the sliding door, "time to wake up, eat your morning meal, and get ready.

The paper partition slid open, allowing a young beautiful woman to step through. Kneeling gracefully and sitting in traditional posture with her feet tucked underneath her, she folded her hands together to rest in her lap. The dazzling Lady with black eyes, fair skin and black hair, smiled affectionately at the younger girl. Being scrubbed, fresh and clean She wore a simple white kimono. Her long silky locks pulled back, and tamed in a simple twist atop her head. She wore no jewelry nor head ornaments. She was a rare creature who needed no embellishments. She was quite captivating to be sure, but it was mostly

Hanasaku scurried on hands and knees to the partition which led to the outside walk. Sliding it open wide she took in the new day with all of her senses. The freshness of the morning was her favorite thing about the entire day. She noted that the day was going to be hot. It had just turned August and with only a few weeks left of summer, she didn't want to waste any time.

Carefully sliding the partition closed, Hanasaku removed her night dress and slid into her bathrobe. She hadn't bothered selecting anything to wear for the day; that would be Yuuki's job. Hanasaku's main focus was to get cleaned up, and eat. She grabbed a towel, a bar of soap, and then stepped out of her room, gliding noiselessly down the hall to the shower room.

The shower room, like most of the rooms in the house was of modest size. It was a big house, but each resident was given small accommodations. Hanasaku removed her robe and turned on the water. After adjusting the faucet to the right temperature, she stepped in and shut the door.

She was getting ready to meet the man to whom she'd be engaged. A man at least 18 years old. By the time she turned 16, he'll be 26. frowning deeply Hanasaku began to wash her

The throbbing bass of the brothel's sound show roared through Rulagh's bones along with the pulsing lights above the mating rooms. Acrid stim-smoke saturated the air and made his eyes water. A holographic display of a high caste whore filled the ceiling. The crest on her scalp had darkened to a shade of red-black that matched the distended nipples of her scaled breasts. Rulagh flicked his tongue out. The display's pheromonal musk tasted stale.…

She is pretty, but moderately pretty, not overdone or arrogant. The husband, however, has a "round, self-satisfied face." He is haughty and overconfident. The reader recognizes his self-centeredness and demeans him for it. The reader is told that the woman provides a "small but glossy birthday cake" for her husband's "Occasion." There is "one pink candle" in the center of the cake. The cake's appearance parallels with that of the wife's. Both are small and modest yet in their own way appealing. The wife has supplied a "little surprise" for the one she loves and she is very proud of it. The others dining at the restaurant react with a "pattering of applause" to support the woman and encourage her. The reader echoes this applause in his own mind in order to also help the woman. However, the reader at once discovers that the man "was not pleased." Brush then quotes the thoughts of the reader towards the husband's behavior with the reaction of "Oh, now, don't be like that." The author uses the words that she knows are in the mind of the reader. The woman is then seen to be crying "all to herself." Her husband has deserted her and she is left alone "under the gay big brim of her best…

One particular woman caught my attention. She was thin and pale, with long blonde hair pinned back and in a braid. She was dressed in many raggedy layers: skirts, blouses, sweaters, and a fur-trimmed coat; probably her most prized possession. She only had one small trunk with her, which held her belongings. Her small child sat atop the trunk, becoming restless. She tried to calm him down and keep him quiet, to minimize the attention drawn to them. I heard his whines, but I noticed something more about her. She was clutching two letters in her fist. When her child was settled, she would read them. The same two pieces of parchment, over and over again. I watched her. I saw the look of…
