Human Resource Planning Making the Organization Effective
Human resource planning is the process by which management figures out how to move businesses forward from its current position to the aspiration future placement. Effective planning will result in the organizational management having the right kinds and right number of people doing things that result in the worker and the organization having maximum long-run benefits.
Establishing objectives and following through by developing and implementing programs such as appraising, staffing, training, and compensating - ensure that people with the right characteristics and skills are available when and where the organization needs them (Jackson & Schuler, 1990). A major objective of human resource planning is facilitating business effectiveness. Human resource departments need to be able to analyze data that may need to guide all age groups for future years. Race and sex are the first and second most often filed. Harassment on all levels is also filed for often. Employee turnover lends itself to wrongful termination cases. What to do? The best avenue is to insure with employment practices liability insurance (EPLI), which covers an employee 's lawsuit.
Regulations and Laws Not Followed
Compliance with regulations is one the biggest problems occurring in workplaces. This happens more often in small companies than larger due to the turnover in employees in smaller companies. It is a bigger problem with a newly formed enterprise or company because of the inexperience with federal and state regulations. A solution to this problem is to hire a third party to keep the business aware of what the rules and regulations are or to keep the owner apprised of the changes.

Within the university, we have several posts that need to be covered at all times. We have certified and uncertified officers for those posts. Each day requires a certain amount of certified officers and uncertified officers. There are three shifts within my department. The HR department tries to make sure that each shift has the same amount of officers. Whenever the numbers get low, the HR department then hires enough personnel to make sure that we have the manpower to cover those posts and extra personnel for backup. It also falls within the labor for that company as well.…
