In Chris Sacco article, he claims “Proper gun safety should, if logic prevails, include educating children about the dangers of firearms”. (1) Most parents that are against gun safety being taught to their kid may misunderstand the purpose of it. They believe it’s only good for teaching children how to shoot guns and encouraging them more to play with them, but that’s far from the goal. It teaching children that firearms are that can injury other as Sacco states “guns can and will kill them and any individual they point them at” (Sacco 1). In order to learn gun safety, the child doesn’t need to interact with it, they just need to know the dangers of it and a few simple rules.
