Graduate Level Writing Analysis and Development Plan
Introduction
This paper is based on feedback given for the individual assignments over the last 5 weeks of the communications class. The feedback given will be summarised, then strengths and weaknesses will be discussed before looking into a suggested step by step plan for writing. While the plan may not be able to be strictly followed, it will help to have a guide as to how to compile a paper worthy of graduate level.
Summary of feedback given
The general consensus of the feedback given in the former weeks, namely week’s one, two, and four show that there is a good job being done in the writing of the topics. Main points are covered and the papers are presented in a clear and easy to read manner. However, the points made need to have more substance – that is, more supporting evidence as it were, specifically details, examples and analysis will help with the quality of the paper being increased. The other area that needs to be watched is the APA style. But
Individual strengths and weaknesses
Based on the feedback given, the strengths identified are the ability to cover all points required in a paper and to write in a manner where all sections flow logically from one to the other for one to be able to read with ease. The common issue in the area of weaknesses seem to be the lack of support when speaking on a topic, there is also a consistent issue with APA style writing, namely the repeated lack of placing the first header correctly – this should be the title of the paper, and indenting of bibliography or references.
Suggested step by step plan for writing
There is no one correct way to write a paper. Each person will have their own technique. However based on research, for a person to be able to write to the best of their ability, it would be suggested to follow a plan of sorts. The
