Good Will Hunting
The movie Good Will Hunting has characters that have successful qualities. Success is when a person achieves their goals, whether it be raising a family or having a successful job. Will Hunting is a mathematical genius and Gerald Lambeau worked very hard to get to where he is. Chuckie Sullivan is loyal and Skylar is caring. However, Sean Maguire is the most successful person in the movie because he is an understanding and empathetic person, he is knowledgeable in the field he enjoys working in, and he became a family man.

Throughout the movie, Sean talks about how he fell in love with a woman and how he knew she was his soul mate. Sean is very protective of his family and usually puts them first. In the movie, Will asks how Sean met his wife and he talks about how he was going to a baseball game that turned to be a very big event. However, Sean skipped that game to have a drink with a woman who turned out to be his wife. His first priority was his wife over an epic baseball game. Another time Sean showed qualities of a family man was when Will asked if Sean had ever wondered what his life would have been like if he had never met his wife and if he had regretted meeting her. Sean said that he didn’t regret a single moment, even when she got sick with cancer or even when she got really sick. This makes Sean a successful person because a successful person usually has a family who stands by with them as they achieve their goals. Sean was able to find true love at least once in his life and that is a goal that most people try to achieve.
Sean Maguire is a successful person because he has accomplished his goals. He had a family, was able to successfully build a career in a field that he loved, and he was an empathetic person. His experience with Will Hunting showed that even though Sean doesn’t show it, he has accomplished much during his life. Being able to accomplish goals in all aspects of life is what makes a person successful and Sean Maguire fits that

The most persuasive pieces in favor of the defense was that the old man wouldn’t have taken fifteen seconds to get to his front door from his bedroom. Especially because of the stroke he got the year before that caused something to his left leg. Another piece of evidence was that the woman didn’t have her glasses on when she ‘saw’ the murder being committed. Sean Penn pleasantly surprised me in his portrayal of Sam Dawson, a young man with special needs who fights to regain custody of his seven-year-old daughter. Sure, some of the disability stereotypes are present in this movie: goofy clothes, bizarre laugh..., but there is also depth to the character. We can see Sam's frustration at not understanding the world around him, his difficulty pulling out the salient features when telling his story, his rigidity with routines, his perseveration on details. These are traits many of us are familiar with and demonstrate that the screenwriters did some research in this…

Of all the disturbances being listed in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-IV-TR)1 only a few of them have not yet been portrayed in films. Cinema has certainly been fascinated by insanity and its manifestations, and psychiatric disorders have provided film directors and scriptwriters with a stream of material for their scripts, action, and themes. Taking that interest into account, it is necessary to reflect on the vision of mental disturbances that has been transmitted by cinema to the public in general. For most average citizens the only contact they may have with the psychiatric reality is through cinema; hence, films are their one - yet strong -…
