Going To The Moon, Ball Toss, And JFK Assassination
Within our society, the ability to think critically is vital to the continued growth of knowledge and overall advancement of humankind. That being said, often times people overlook its importance and it ends up sort of shoved under the rug. With this new generation of mass media, information is spread at such an unprecedented rate that the intake can become overwhelming, and the discernment (of it does not always occur) is then left up to the people to find whether it is actually fact or fiction. When people do not stop to critically think, they risk more than just spreading false information as it can impair higher order in one’s life, even leading to the loss of life. I started my researching who killed JFK and looking at an overall list of what the conspiracy theories where, then took the most widely regarded ones and dug a little deeper into them, looking into some of the reasoning behind their stances. After my research, I came to he conclusion the mafia were behind the assassination because that seemed like the most put together theory. It seemed likely that through his previous connection with the mafia, their influence in his election, their ties to dealings in Cuba before the Bay of Pigs, and the fact Robert wouldn’t let up on organize crime could all lead to something like an assassination. I believe I regarded this information critically, establishing my opinion on who killed JFK, but also having the reason to doubt that it is not a known fact who killed Kennedy and other theories may also have compelling evidence that I have to be open to hearing. Notably, I had never heard the theory that Kennedy arranged is own death before, but listening to Amanda talk about it in class you could sort of make understand and it made
