God's Word: Christian Trials Of Life
The pages of God’s Word highlight biblical characters, including Jesus, who experienced immense trials in their lives. Following the Lord does not exempt a believer from the trials of life. Jesus clearly declared, “In this world you will have tribulations, but take courage, I have overcome the world” (John 16:33 NIV). Christians will indubitably experience the same trials as non-Christians, but Christians should demonstrate a different reaction.
All believers, including members at Baptist Center Church (BCC), will inevitably experience numerous and diverse trials throughout life. Although trials form part of the human experience, God expends trials to effectuate endurance in the life of the Christian (Jas 1:2–4). The project director sought to provide basic skills to avail a select group of members develop a biblical perspective on trials. …show more content…

Biblical counseling is a practical and effective way to teach through the understanding of Scripture; that thoughts, attitudes, motives, and words flow from a sinful nature of a selfish heart. In counseling, whether Biblical or secular, the main objective should be to help the counselee with the issues they are dealing with.
