God's Chesed Research Paper
Throughout history, God has shows his never ending love for us even when we don't do the same. This devotion is called chesed. God's chesed directly affected humans throughout history and continues to affect us to this day. A simple definition of chesed is God's devotion to us, but chesed is actually more complex than the main definition shows. All throughout time, humans have been known to go through a continuous cycle of disobeying God while God constantly forgives them no matter the situation. God's chesed was evident in history but it also plays a major role today. People still make mistakes and turn away from God but God's chesed is never ending and we will always be able to turn back to Him and be assured He will still love and forgive us.

The story of Ruth and Naomi explains that there was a woman named Naomi whose husband had recently died. She also had two sons that married two women named Orpah and Ruth. However, shortly after, the two sons died as well. Since Naomi was all alone, the two daughters-in-law offered to stay with Naomi during her time of mourning but Naomi protested. In spite of the protesting, Ruth stayed with Naomi and comforted her. The next story is the story of two brothers named Cain and Abel. Abel was loyal to God while Cain was not, therefore, this made Cain jealous and he ended up killing Abel. Because of this, God punished Cain but also put a mark on him so throughout his life he would not be
