In the first paragraph alone, many important aspects of the narrator's character are revealed. It is revealed to the reader that the narrator was in love and is grieving for the woman he loved. It is also in the first paragraph where the major conflict is revealed. The major conflict, in which the narrator is involved, is his own torment from the memory of his dead wife. This is evident when the narrator says, "When I saw our room again, our bed, our furniture, everything that remains of the life of a human being after death – I was seized by such a violent attack of fresh grief that I felt like opening the window and throwing myself onto the street." Initially, the author intends the reader to feel sorry for the narrator and his loss. The thing that motivates the narrator in the conflict is his resolution to finish grieving before it consumes him. This is evident when he says, "Happy is the man whose heart forgets everything that it has contained."…

In the eyes of Suzanne Wong, Vito Corleone is a man who deserves to be admired. He is a man who does well and expects nothing less in return. In Wong’s essay, she constantly brings up the deeds he does for everyone. Her reasons about why Don Vito Corleone is such a great role model were very well explained and detailed. She builds up Vito’s character so others can view him as a god like figure, hence why his nickname is The Godfather. I do agree with her on some topics, but at the same time I disagree. I agree with Wong when she says friendships are important, and Vito really showed how important it was. In addition, I agree with her argument about traditional values. What I don’t necessarily agree with is what she said about success and how the Don achieved it by himself. So therefore I mainly agree with Wong but at the same time I disagree just a little. I agree with Corleone being a good role model because he values friendship and traditional values but I don’t agree that he is because his success all resulted from violence.…

The theme corresponds to the message the short story validates than it is vividly interpreted to be mainly about what is seen through the characters point of view. Although, the two characters may be portrayed as senseless druggies, their resourceful thinking and sight conveys the reader a different aspect of their trait. Therefore, Johnson lets the reader know the unique visual concept Georgie gave when he saw the pool of blood on the hospital floor. Unlike most minds of the people Georgie is disturbed by how much blood is streaming in a human’s body and mentioned that eventually the gruesome blood will be released when death occurs. On the other hand, the way F-head visualizes the image is based off of the acceptance and normality of death. Moreover, the different visual analysis between Georgie and F-head explains the sentiments that fund their characteristics and their opposite point of…

One example of this is when Michael kills Sollozzo and the police captain in order to get revenge for the attempted assassination of his father (The Godfather). Although Michael murdered them, it is hard for the audience to feel anything but sympathy for him because he did it out of his love for his father. Another example from the film is when Connie, Don Vito's daughter, is abused by her husband, Carlo. Sonny beats Carlo and threatens to kill him if he touches Connie again (The Godfather). When it happens again, "Sonny is incensed and leaves to get revenge on Carlo - the 'Sonofabitch,' but he blunders into a trap that costs him his life" ("The Godfather (1972)."). On his way to make sure Carlo pays for what he did, Sonny is assassinated by a rival. Although Sonny was involved in criminal business, the audience feels nothing but sympathy for him because he was killed trying to protect his…
