Global Warming

Global warming is the rise in temperature (warming) of the entire planet and oceans. The rising temperatures affect our climates in such that droughts will happen more often, deserts will become bigger, heat waves will happen more often, and snow will lessen in areas. Also storms and hurricanes will happen more often. Global warming happens very slowly, the environment goes through natural periods of cooling and warming. Global warming causes changes in the climate over time. Global warming has been an issue since 1950. (White, 2013) A lot of times global warming is referred to as climate change. Greenhouse gases are the main cause of global warming due to human activity. Contributors to the rise of greenhouse gases released into the air causing global warming include burning oil and gas to power automobiles, machinery, and heat/energy. These are all due to human activity on a daily basis. Continued global warming which can lead to flooding which can lead to more mosquitoes and disease carrying insects which can affect humans adversely such as a rise in diseases that are deadly to humans.
Human activities have a huge impact on global warming. Human activities that cause global warming include farming, deforestation, the burning of fossil fuels (power plants), automobiles we drive every day, and the increased use of chemical fertilizers on crops. Scientist’s state that vehicles we drive daily contribute to about a quarter of the yearly U.S.’s carbon dioxide releasing in the environment. (Union of Concerned Scientists 2012) This is one of the highest percentages out of all but three other states.
Human activities impact global warming in the amounts of greenhouse gases that are released into the atmosphere. Carbon dioxide is released from the burning of fossil fuel from power plants and transportation vehicles release the same.

The second cause of global warming is attributed to man. Human activities such as burning fossil fuels have contributed greatly to global warming. When these fuels are being burned, toxic gases are being released into the atmosphere such as carbon dioxide. When these gases are released, the solar energy is trapped which automatically causes the temperature to increase.…

Another way that humans cause global warming is by deforestation, which lowers the amount of oxygen being produced and carbon dioxide being consumed because there are less plants to facilitate these processes. This increases carbon dioxide emissions and this release of carbon dioxide heats the atmosphere. According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, when carbon dioxide is emitted into the atmosphere, it absorbs infrared photons rising from the surface and re-emits them back towards the surface. This creates a constant heat loop which essentially heats the Earth because heat can not escape the atmosphere.…

The main cause of global warming is thought to be the 'greenhouse effect' that is mainly caused by us humans. With an increase in temperature glaciers worldwide are melting faster than the time taken for new ice layers to form, sea water is getting hotter and expanding causing sea levels to rise, rivers overflow due to melting glaciers causing floods, forest fires are on the rise, and innumerable undesired effects are taking place due to global warming.…

One cause contributing to the increased average of global temperatures is the increase of carbon dioxide and other “greenhouse” gases in our atmosphere. The greenhouse effect causes an increase in the Earth’s temperature from atmospheric gases, including carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide, disrupts the cycle of energy by trapping the outgoing energy from the Earth, which is supposed to be on its way back to space (Shah, 2012). Instead, the energy is retained on Earth; causing natural temperature to increase as well as polluting the air. Human activity has contributed to this natural effect through the excessive burning of fossil fuels since these fuels rapidly release carbon dioxide into our atmosphere while not removing the gas, which leaves high levels of CO2…

Every year, almost 7 billion tons of carbon dioxide is released into the atmosphere by human activity (“How do we contribute individually to global warming.” Global Warming: 2006. Web.12 Oct. 2011). That is the equivalent of 107,700,000 jet airplanes being in the air at once! This harrowing figure is the main cause of global warming, and has been increasing for the last 50 years. Global warming is caused by the increase of greenhouse gases, carbon dioxide and methane primarily, in the earth 's upper atmosphere directly caused by human burning of fossil fuels, industrial, farming, and deforestation activities. Global warming is defined as an increase in the average temperature of the earth 's atmosphere (especially a sustained increase that causes climatic changes). Many people believe in these statements, but there are many people around the world that refuse to believe that human contributions are the main cause of global warming, saying that the increase is part of the natural climatic change of earth.…

Yes, human actions are definitely a factor in global warming. The fact that there have been natural cycles of climate change since earth's formation, in past and recent centuries humans have influenced global climate change through the emission of greenhouse gases. The actions that humans should take to stop global warming are to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions in order to limit human effect on the climate cycle.…

The pollution or carbon dioxide enter the Earth 's atmosphere and absorb heat from the sun, heating the environment, therefore an increase in co2 means an increase in heat, this resulting in bigger problem for global warming. The main producer of this pollution and greenhouse gases are ofcourse humans, our environment and climate are the ones that have to pay for the humanly actions causing global warming. Scientists have determined that a number of human activities are contributing to global warming by adding excessive amounts of greenhouse gases to the atmosphere. These gases such as carbon dioxide (co2) accummulate in the atmosphere and trap heat that normally would exit into outer space. The main source of excess greenhouse gases is the human use of fossil fuels. The burning of fossil fuels to generate energy for example driving cars, using electricity from coal-fired power plants, or heating homes with oil or natural gas, humans release carbon dioxide and other heat-trapping gases into the atmosphere. Over 100 years ago the co2 level was 35% less…

The main cause for the Global Warming is the increase in the concentration of green house gases which is being let out by the activities of human beings. A study has shown that the main reason for Global Warming is the increase in the production of Carbon dioxide from Cement production, fossil fuel, and deforestation. A report in 2013 states that, human is the main cause of the Global warming which lead to the reduction in snow in Antarctic and Arctic regions, which paved way to the increase in the sea level. This effect will include increase in sea level, expansion of subtropical Deserts. Warming is expected to be higher in the Arctic regions. This has a lot of effects which will create lot of changes in human life; like heavy rainfall, heat waves, ocean acidification, and extinction of some species. Emission of green house gases have increased about 2.2% from 2000-2010.…

There are many possible causes of global warming. However, for the past several years, NASA noted “that most of the causes of global warming are man-made activities.” The “burning of fossil fuel is the top list of man made activities that largely contribute to global warming and this occurs in automobiles, in factories, and in electric power plants that provide energy for houses and office buildings” (Global Warming NASA). The burning of fossil fuels produces carbon dioxide , a chemical element that “slows the escape of heat into space” (Global Warming Nasa). “According to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC 's) report, CO2…

Second, is human cause. It goes without saying that human activities accelerate the climate changes. "There is strong evidence that the warming of the Earth over the last half-century has been caused largely by human activity, such as the burning of fossil fuels and changes in land use, including agriculture and deforestation" (The Royal Society 2010). Starting from the very simple activities, which are using air conditioner, hair dryer, switch on lamps, cooking with microwave and so on, people are helping to emit carbon gas emmision. Not to mention burning fossil fuels to produce energy, deforestation to build buildings, driving vehicles in the street and agriculture to produce foods, all these activities emit to the climate changes as they produce carbon dioxide, methane, water vapur, ozon, Chloro Fluoro Carbon (CFC) and nitrous oxide. In 2008, total worldwide energy consumption was 474 extrajoules. The…

Global warming is still a debate between us. Most people do not believe that our world is warming up, they believe the climate is in a cycle, and that humans do not contribute to the warming of our climate. Research supports the fact that Global warming is a huge factor in climate change and that human activities are increasing the warming of our world. When we look around the world today, we see that our seasons come in later times than usual, glaciers are melting rapidly than it did thirty years ago, animals are migrating farther than they usually do, to find food and water because it is too hot and the waters are drying up and food source is scarce. Our climate is changing, and this is as a result of global warming. The earlier people are educated and aware of this, and take caution to help preserve and save our environment; the better it is for our climate, if not I fear the future impact.…

Scientists have spent many years trying to figure out what is causing global warming. They have looked at the natural cycles and events that are known to influence climate. “The amount and pattern of warming that 's been measured can 't be explained by these factors alone.” Realizations of scientists have concluded that humans contribute to the earth’s temperature getting warmer. Greenhouse gases produce by humans, are responsible for global warming, most of which come from the combustion of fuels in cars, factories, and electricity production. Some of these gasses can trap more heat within the world then carbon dioxide (“Climate Hot Map”).…
