This model was chosen because it presents the outline of the external and internal factors that affects the organization, and its inherent changes in a balanced form. The model offers distinction between the transformational and transactional changes of the organization. This involves the responses of the organization towards the environmental changes. Transactional changes are those that mostly entail the qualities like the structure, the system, individual’s needs and values along with the individuals’ tasks and skills. However, the transformational change largely covers the changes with respect to the variations of the external environment in terms of organizational mission and strategy. “The four transformational factors are external environment, mission and strategy, leadership, and organizational culture.” (Ian Palmer) The following are some of the key points of this change model:…
Engaged to engineer the change, our consulting team will orchestrate the process in four stages. Firstly, we scrutinize the external environment in which the Army operates in and identify the key threats and opportunities in the near future. Next, we would perform a critical strategic analysis of the Army’s existing strategic framework and evaluate its strengths and weaknesses against the environmental threats and opportunities. Subsequently, we will propose changes to its strategic framework to better minimize the threats and capitalize on the opportunities. Lastly, we recommend the use of the Balanced Scorecard as a strategy management system to communicate the organizational change and execute its strategies.…

BIC is a product that has been extremely successful, offering items such as a low-cost disposable razor, and pens that add value to the user at an affordable price. BIC uses a strategy similar to the Niche Cost Leader Strategy. The Niche Cost Leader Strategy puts the main focus on positioning a product at an affordable price while still presenting value to its customers. My reasoning for using this strategy is that my products will be extremely useful and beneficial to its consumers; products like BIC and McDonalds are in extreme demand with the situation of today’s economy. To maintain this strategy, I will keep the costs that go into the products low. Costs such as Research and Design, materials, and production serve as an important factor in the pricing of Erie’s products. As you continue reading, you will see my strategy unfold, the obstacles that I have faced, and the improvements that I will be developing in the near future.…

Another important theme that I witnessed this semester while doing the Statecraft simulation was the major theories. Here are some examples of how theories were used in our Statecraft world. Some countries tended to be realists, liberals, and feminists. The Empire, country 6 and USM chose to be realists because they have powerful military, decent resources and great influence on other countries. They allied with each other to create the Northern bloc. This bloc represents the three authoritative and forceful countries in Statecraft world. My country Republic of Civitas and Caledonia adopted the liberal’s theory to apply it within the country and outside it. Cortarro was completely a feminist country. They had women in power in order to make decision to lead the country toward the bright side and make their people satisfied. However, it looked like realist countries celebrated their victory at the end of the game. Does that mean liberals and feminists lost the game? Yes, our country lost because we tried to spread peace in the world. Cortarro was divided because the feminist theory didn’t work perfect in there. Caledonia was under attack once and they lost their capital. However, I think our…
Brave New World, a place in which people are created from scientific labs through a process call the Bokanovsky Process, and where being born from parents is a shame for society. Where conditioning is use for training babies to act and think the way people in society wants them to do. A place where a popular drug call Soma is used to control and keep the society happy and stable, and causes principles and morals to disappear or change. Where entertainment is use to convince people of the phrase “everyone belongs to everyone”, and becomes a society that is always happy, no problems, and organized.…
History has seen its fair share of technological innovations that were significant and impactful to the people and society of that time period. These advancements in technology brought about monumental changes, for good and for worse. An example of a noteworthy innovation was Johann Gutenberg’s printing press. During the Renaissance, the printing press played a key role in the spreading of new ideas. The use of roads was a technological innovation as well. During the reign of the Roman Empire, roads impacted humankind in multiple aspects of life, such as trade and transportation. After the study of the printing press during the Renaissance, and roads of the Roman Empire, one could make an argument that each was a significant technological innovation and had effects on their respective time periods.…
Rodamia is a large country in comparison to its neighbors, in terms of population, area and level of economic development. About four percent of Rodamia's Gross Domestic Product comes from agriculture, mainly: corn, wheat, cotton, diary and poultry products; 30% from industry and 66% from services. Rodamia is surrounded by three countries, (Alfazia, Uthania, Suntize), and is considering trading with these countries because this will lead to greater benefits. Trading will enable Rodamia to provide a more diverse price and quality of products to its consumers. Domestic producers can expand their markets to other countries and Rodamia capital gets new avenues of investments. All these aspects will add to making the economy more sparkling and the country richer.…
I am advising the president of Rodamia recommendations for international trade. International trade is the exchanging of goods and services with one another. Many countries have particular resources that are not obtainable in the other, to meet the desires and wants of both countries so they trade. Many advantages and limits are concerned with trading. Benefits occur for each country, but there are many additional limits put into place to manage the amount and quality of international trade. Specific issues have an effect on international trade such as foreign exchange rates and government policies. Groups such as World Trade Organization who over looks international trade along with their members, making sure that rules and agreements are followed.…
