The symptoms can be lifelong or relapsing and remitting or it can be resolved. An overactive bladder can affect anyone irrespective of their gender. It is caused by the abnormal contraction of the detrusor muscles of the bladder. An overactive bladder can also be related to neurological diseases such as Parkinson's disease and multiple sclerosis.
