PROBLEM STATEMENT Water (H2O) is the most abundant compound on Earth's surface, covering about 70%. In nature, it exists in liquid, solid, and gaseous states. In a daily human life, water is very important and without waters all human routine will stopped. For the more, water is a nature source from earth and it will finish want the time is come so if human make waste on it, in the future human will lack of water. Besides that, it will effect the entire environment where animals and plant also need water. After doing some searching, research has come out that one of the places that human like to wasting water is at the sink. Due to this, smart sink has been product. The propose is too avoided human from making more waste on the water. The smart sink is very use full at shopping complex, restaurant or others. It also can be use at bath room.

SENSING ELEMENT

TYPE OF SENSOR: Proximity sensor NAME OF SENSOR: IR distance sensor w/cable (10cm-80cm) - GP2Y0A21YK0F MEASURED: Distances between a pipe and disturbance. RANGE: 20-80cm VOLTAGE OUTPUT: 1V-15V TEMPERATURE: -10°C to 60°C

The sensors that have been chosen have a distance range around 10cm – 80cm where the sensors only works around that range. The size of the sensors also should be consider due it will fluency the size of pipe. If the cable is thick, then the pipes have to be build follow the suitable size with the sensor cable. For long term use, temperature also is the important think that should be consider.
