Introduction

Garnier Fructis is a beauty company that distributes hair care products worldwide. One of the most popular products distributed by Garnier Fructis is the extensive line of shampoo. Exploratory research has been conducted in order to explore and identify the target market for Garnier Fructis Shampoo.

Garnier Fructis Shampoo is often perceived as a female product therefore; the product experiences lower awareness amongst male shampoo users. The aim of this report is to analyze this situation and explore solutions to overcome challenges this product may face.

Observations About the Product

• Shampoo is a hair care product that is used to remove dirt, oils, and other contaminants that are gradually built up in hair. The benefit of shampoo is silky smooth, shiny and clean hair. Fresh clean hair provokes confidence and beauty.

• Depending on the scalp and hair type, Garnier Fructis Shampoo should be used at least once every three days. Some consumers shampoo everyday.

• Garnier Fructis Shampoo is in the mature stage of the product life cycle. The brand has existed for a long time and is well established in the industry. Garnier Fructis holds a decent market share and is not experiencing any decline in their sales.
