What is future?
The time or a period of time following the moment of speaking or writing; time regarded as still to come.
The future is the upcoming time period after the present.
Future is an imaginative thinking of incoming time period in the view of past experiences and present situation. It is the opposite of the past.
The future is the portion of the projected time line that is anticipated to occur. That is to be or come hereafter; that will exist at any time after the present; as, the next moment is future, to the present. Time to come; time subsequent to the present (as, the future shall be as the present); collectively, events that are to happen in time to come. How will these inventions and discoveries change our life?

FUTUROLOGY.
Future studies, or futurology, is the science, art and practice of guessing possible, probable and preferable futures. That’s why modern practitioners stress the importance of alternative and plural futures, rather than one monolithic future, and the limitations of prediction and probability, versus the creation of possible and preferable futures. It is used for forecasting future for the better planning for the long period of time. There is a debate as to whether this discipline is an art or science. In general, it can be considered as a branch of the social sciences and parallel to the field of history. In the same way that history studies the past, futures studies considers the future. Futures study seeks to understand what is likely to continue and what could plausibly change.
