Functional Areas Of Tesco
The main activities in the finance area are to make a record of all business transactions made, so whether that is trading or through money in advertising, they have to record all money going in or out of the business. So in terms of Tesco their financial functional area will be based at their headquarters in Cheshnut. Tesco’s Finance department will deal with the purchasing of products for their stores, the buying of stock and the cash flow in and out of the business. This functional area since it is incredibly large will have a large amount of people working in it. The head of the Finance Department for Tesco is Laurie McIlwee; he will assign jobs to specific people in the Finance
