INTRODUCTION
A site visit to Sg Johor Water Treatment Plant was held on 20th April 2015 for water treatment class , SKAA 2912. A total of approximately __ students take part in the site visit.
The purpose and objective of this site visits to the water treatment plant is to give exposure to the students about water treatment systems that runs on Sg Johor water treatment plant. Through this site visit, students can learn and study in detail and closer about water treatment process implemented in Sg Johor Water Treatment Plant. The understanding on the processes can be a good basis for students in order to attaining perceptive of water treatment process in real life situation. Furthermore, this site visit can assist the students on knowledge for the preparation of their future career.
BACKGROUND OF SUNGAI JOHOR WTP
Sungai Johor Water Treatment Plant began its operation in 1996 with a capacity of 159 million liters per day and in 2003 its capacity was increased to 318 million liters a day . They supply clean water in some areas of Johor Bahru City and Pontian. The raw water source coming from Sungai Johor located 3KM from plant. They also provide raw water for Empangan Sungai Layang.
