Frog Vs Cinderella Research Paper
The two fairy tales, the princess and the frog and Cinderella, have more similarities than

expected. They both have princesses that didn’t start out as princesses. The villains in the two stories

both try to stop the prince and princess from finding their true loves, but in the end it doesn’t work out

in their favor.

In the princess and the frog, Prince Naveen comes to the town where Tiana lives. He is looking

for a bride so he can have all of his family’s riches. A man who messes with voodoo changes prince

Naveen into a frog and he can’t change him back until Prince Naveen kisses a real princess. Well Prince

Naveen finds Tiana and she has a crown on so Prince Naveen thinks she is a real princess. He gets Tiana

So Cinderella goes up to the attic, which is also her room, and she

makes a beautiful dress. The stepsisters were jealous of how beautiful Cinderella was so they ripped the

dress to pieces and yanked the jewels from her neck to where she had nothing to wear. Cinderella was

crushed. The stepmother and stepsisters went to the ball laughing. While Cinderella was crying in the

courtyard a fairy godmother came and made her a beautiful dress and a carriage to the ball. She went to

the ball and danced with Prince Charming and he knew he was in love, but when the clock hit midnight

she ran away and left a glass slipper, that prince charming found. Prince Charming vowed he would find

the girl who owned the glass slipper belonged to, and he would marry her. He found Cinderella and they

got married and lived happily ever after.

Both the princess and the frog and Cinderella have similarities. The princesses didn’t start out as

princesses and they were very beautiful women. The Prince in both stories fell in love with the

princesses first. The couples had troubles but their love for one another overcame

Originally named Ella, she slept near the cinders which lead her to be called Cinderella. One day her father leaves and ask for request from the three daughters. Cinderella wanted a twig. When he comes back he gives her a hazel twig. She plants it next to her mother’s grave. The twig grows into a tree where it produces birds that grant her wishes. When it's time to go the ball, the stepmother tells Cinderella in order to attend the ball she has to pick lentils from a pile of ashes. The birds help her with the task, when Cinderella is finished she goes to her stepmother and she rejects what Cinderella has done. She makes a wish to the tree and the birds give her a dress so she can attend the ball. When Cinderella is at the ball she dances with the prince the whole night. At the end of the night, Cinderella runs away from the prince. The next day she wishes for another dress and does the same thing she did the night before. The third day she wishes for another dress. When the night is coming to an end Cinderella runs away and her shoe gets stuck on one of the stairs because the prince put tar on them so she can not flee.     Most Americans could say that they have at least heard of Cinderella and her fairy godmother. In the German Version of Cinderella, “Aschenputtel,” there is no Fairy godmother. In “Aschenputtel,” Cinderella’s mother tells her “Dear child, remain pious and good, and then our dear God will always protect you, and I will look down on you from heaven and be near you." Later in the story Cinderella asks her father to bring home the first twig that brushes his hat. When given the twig Cinderella takes it to her mother’s grave and it grows into a magnificent tree. Cinderella then prays under the tree and pigeons and turtledoves bring Cinderella anything she wishes. These birds represent Cinderella’s mother’s spirit watching over her poor daughter.
