Friendship

Having a true friendship with a person use to be much simpler in the 80’s and 90’s, then in today’s society. There is no exact definition of “Friendship”; however there are many valuable things in life and friendship may be the most important. Based upon Webster’s Dictionary, the definition of a friend is, “A person whom one knows, likes and trust.” The definition of a friend, and friendship, is based upon one’s own notions. Friendship to me is characterizes a person that is trustworthy, that accepts me for who I am and someone who is willing to help me in a time of need. It is important to recognize what a true friend is before you build a relationship with them because they may not consider you as a friend. Many people have unrealistic expectations of what true friendship is.
One of the most important traits of a friend is someone who can help you in a time of need. It could be if you need a shoulder to cry on, a person that calls you just to see how your day has been, or if you are in financial need, they will help you if they can. There was a time when I called up a friend because I needed help paying a bill and she was right there to help me during my crisis. Money can be an enemy of friendship. When leading or borrowing money is done between friends, there can be a great risk. So it is wise for true friends to avoid monetary transactions. It is said that a friend in need is a friend in deed. There may be many friends at the time of prosperity, but most of them desert at the time of adversity. We can examine the sincerity of a friend during our times of hardship and trouble. It can be very painful when our friends turn into traitors. That is why it is very important to choose your friends wisely. In addition, when it comes to true friendship, trust is also a crucial trait. You should know that a friendship does not grow over night, it takes time to develop. That is why it is important to build trust with that
