Freedom 
IN MY opinion, our teenagers nowadays are enjoying too much freedom compared to those before. Freedom helps teens feel more powerful and self-confident. But too much freedom can easily backfire, leaving a teen floundering. Some of them start taking advantage of too much freedom. Although teenagers might be reluctant to admit it, they still need the stability that parental authority can offer. Some parents remain so busy with their work that they forget their responsibilities towards their children. As a result, their children can be seen at places like The Shopping Centre or other shopping complexes, wasting their time hanging out with their friends rather than staying at homes and doing something productive and useful. If this habit is not controlled, it can cause further deterioration in the personality of a teenager.
However, with too little freedom, a child will probably end up as an introvert, or anti-social person. Either is not good. The trick is maintaining the balance. A lot also depend on the children themselves. Their must not be a trust deficit between the child and the parents or guardians. Becoming independent is very important for teenagers. To some extent, freedom can help teenagers in becoming independent and confident. But granting too much freedom is just as bad as giving too little.
Young people today have too much freedom. Do you agree? Nowadays, many teenagers are spoilt; they are doing things which are unsuitable for their age. You may ask. Why, I believe to say that the kids have too much freedom, they take the privilege for granted and don’t know how to control themselves. It’s a pity to see students in midnight wandering in streets smoking, when they are supposed to be sleeping at home; it’s also sad to see youngsters taking drugs, when they are supposed to be studying.
