An empire is an extensive group of states or countries under a single supreme authority. Most empires rise because of a strong personality or a ruler/king that conquers other land to make it his own. Usually a ruler has good ideas and a plan that will make his empire stronger and bigger. For example, discovering new technology, desire to become an empire, and good economy. While all empires fall because their ruler dies, the enemy finds better technology, fighting themselves, natural disasters, and invasions. The rise of two great empires, (the Roman and Chinese Empires) in the first century showed great military advancement, good economic trade, and large territories. They fell because of the decline in economic trade, changing of populations,…

Janet Moyles created the 'play spiral' Framework which encourages children to explore and learn new skills through structured and unstructured play. The spiral starts with practitioners letting the children explore the environment and resources through 'free play' and unstructured play, this gives them the opportunity to play and create their own rules and develop their own experiences. This is beneficial to practitioners as it allows them to observe the children and plan effectively in order to enhance play. The next part of the spiral is 'Mastery Play', this enables the children to rehearse and develop their play. They begin to enhance their play by using their imagination and beginning to understand how they think they should be using the…

Empires are similar to human beings. Just like humans, empires are born, grow and die. The situation of Roman Empire (R.E.) is not different from that. Like the destiny of Persian Empire and Akkadian Empire (which are existed before R.E.) or the destiny of Ottoman Empire and Russian Empire (which are lived so many years later after R.E.) always played the same scenario. Although all empires faced with the same inevitable end, they had different ways of reaching the end. Some of empires had collapsed because of its own internal dynamics which could be deterioration of army, moral hazards, diseases, fight of thrones, influences of religions and economic and social life corrosion; some of other empires had collapsed because of some external dynamics which could be invasions of neighbor countries and influence of other cultures. Some had collapsed due to both external and internal factors.…

The word Empire derives from the Latin version of “imperium,” as Stephen says, which essentially means to rule. Overtime, it has morphed into a much broader phrase, eventually coming to mean “ruling over extensive, far flung territories” far beyond the original “homeland” of the rulers. To me personally, nobody has ever personified the second version of an empire better than the Europeans. They have developed advanced weaponry, ships, and navigational technologies that surpassed anyone at the period time. This allowed them to unchecked dominion over the primitive world. They traveled to distant lands, and exploited their peoples and resources. Generalizing empire and imperialism, we can define it as “any and every type of relation between a…
