Fourth Grade Autobiography
My fourth grade in elementary grade, I had made the most memories. I was the upperclassmen and I had become a bus buddy. Where I would wear an orange badge and have kids cooperate on the bus. I was the one that made the kid’s cooperate and convince them to do as I would say. There were some kids that wouldn’t obey the rules and I would write the kids up and report them. My cousin also joined me in this journey. We would sit at the back and act like top-notches. During May in my 4th grade, we decided to go to Turkey. When I went back to Turkey, it was better than ever. All my family went except for my father. We went for two months, and it was the best experience ever. I couldn’t meet up with many of my old friends, but I didn’t really

Jackie Robinson once said “This ain't fun but watch me get it done”. I had always been at a small school my entire life until seventh grade, when I decided to change schools. I was the new kid, and I didn’t know anyone, and nobody knew me, but I made friends in that two years of middle school. I had never been through a transition like that in my entire life, but when I am older I can look back on it and say that I did it.…

My experience in Junior High started the summer right after sixth grade, before seventh grade even started. That summer I was part of the Hoosier Hills Pact program, the program was made to help students with the transition between elementary and Junior High. In the program I spent every wednesday at the school with Mrs. Harrison, Mrs. Long, and some other students whose names I can’t remember. Every once and awhile we would take a field trip somewhere to get to know each other better and other times we would be talking about what we would need to know for future years. When we had free time we would sometimes go down to the lower gymnasium and play games using a parachute and just have fun. The Pact program really made…

During my current four years of high school, I have come to a conclusion that life is hard and the decisions you make are very important. This is my last year of high school and I’m the first one to graduate from my family. My grandmother tends to tell me that I don’t need college just a simple 7 month course of medical assistant or dentist assistant and not waste any more money. I’m lost, I wish people could help me out and tried to guide me in the direction of the right decision but is my life and choices. There has been times that my grandmother has told me that I am not going to be somebody in the future.…

Yough Intermediate Middle School, a comical and controlled environment. Waking up everyday to come to school is a nuisance. It worth every second of the day because of the amazing teachers, students, and staff. The curricular activities are as creative as a Picasso painting. The adventures I have gone on in Yough has taken me through life even more. The adventures have been vigorous, inferior, and patchy.…

Some of the earliest reading memories I have come from reading flashcards with basic words on them, reading closed captions on cartoons (something I still utilize to this day,) and being read to by my mother and preschool teachers. A memory I remember in vivid detail (which is one of my earliest memories) is sitting in the lap of one of the preschool assistants (Jan) as she was reading to me. I do not remember what book it was, however, I do remember I was wearing a sweatshirt and my pink snowboots. I have a picture of this in a preschool scrapbook. Another one of my early reading memories is watching Timon and Pumbaa and singing along to the theme song as I read the closed captions. My mother came in when she heard me singing the word “philosophy” and I gave her a look that said “What is that face for?”…

The most memorable time in my life was my daughter's cleft palate surgery. It was January 4th when my daughter and I had to leave El Paso, TX to take a trip to Austin, TX. It was a long drive for a little baby like her at the time she was only two years old. Early that morning my parents took us to the bus station. The bus was leaving at 6 a.m. in the morning to get to Austin, TX at midnight. My daughter and I felt it was the longest drive ever as the bus was very full and kept stopping. Finally, we arrived to Austin at midnight. I had to walk around for some time until I found a cab to take us to the hotel. I was scared and nervous. I was all alone with my daughter in a city we didn't know. We arrived to the hotel and finally felt safe and some peace. As soon as we walked in the room, I called my family and let them know we were good.…

It’s a bler, trying to look back on when I was a preschooler, so first grade was a mess. First grade is a life changer. Going to Tri-Point in Piper City not even for a full year. Tri-Point is a small old school just like ROWVA. I remember changing schools because my parents got a divorce. We moved to Peoria and lived there with my mom's parents. I got transferred to a Catholic school. Every Wednesday the whole place went to church right across the street. It was the worst thing ever sitting in the old creepy church listening the Father talk about only “God” knows what. My teacher's name was Mrs. Heartstick, no I did not make the name up. She grossed me out. He hands very dry and cracked, they looked like an old man's hands who had worked his whole…

Being born a reader, is the way I describe my life. Sounds nice right, sounds powerful and like this is going to an uplifting story time. Well I’m lost. I started on a path with certainty and joy but now I am lost. I feel as if I was pushed from the road that I had chosen for myself by the society that I live within. The choices that are made are always influenced in some way by your society, right? But then I think, maybe I wasn’t pushed, but just standing on the edge and I just needed a nudge.…

The end of middle school and the beginning of high school is when everyone is typically getting their braces off, right? Wrong. For me, sophomore year marked the beginning of my braces journey, which I am still currently on. This may not seem like the most challenging situation in the world but getting braces at this time was kind of rough. I was ridiculed, most likely without the intentions to be hurtful, but nonetheless it still effected my already fragile self esteem. I didn't talk as much, I stopped grinning goofily in photos, and I often found myself covering my mouth every time I laughed. Essentially I had reverted back into this shell. I don't know exactly when and what it was that made me realize that I shouldn't be ashamed of having…

Eleventh grade was a substantial upgrade compared to tenth grade, although many things were the same. Same drama, cliques, and crap just a different day. Nothing spectacular happened to me, and all year I went through the motions of my weeks having weekends to push me through. My class load and work kept me out of trouble, like I said same thing different day. But, it was never that simple for me. Then in comes June 10th and I had a routine doctor's appointment which became abnormal about 10 minutes in. All my life I have had to live with chronic pain due to ovarian cysts, so my doctor touched upon the subject going through the motions like every year and found something I said peculiar.…

Coming into high school ready to have the time of my life was a little over rated. I was 14 turning 15 and was not interested in much and now needing to have an answer to those inevitable questions What college are you going too? or What career are you planning to pursue? All of these questions put an immense weight in my shoulders and the only thing on my mind back then was whether or not I will be able to afford the latest Call Of Duty title. Up to that point I had not thought of what I was going to do. On top of that I was quickly losing all of my middle school pals until I figured it all out. Adulthood was just around the corner and I could not be worried about these people no more. I had to grow up and not impress the people around…

Every summer break, I dreaded summers final days as though it was the plague or some kind of virus. It marked the end of a time of laughter, friends and fun. I can remember sitting on my porch, scarfing down a juicy watermelon with many other kids my age. There was laughter and joy that filled this moment. Afterwards, we would get on our bikes and ride to the nearest friend’s home, hoping to find more summer activities to satisfy our summer time thirst for fun. But upon summer time coming to a close, the result was all kids my age having to return once again to the life sucking place known as middle school. But even middle school is known for being one of the most dreadful times in someone’s teen years, I have a place that my younger self would…
