Food that I Love and Hate
My favorite type of food that I love would be cinnamon donuts. They are so darn good, you

cannot describe in words how they taste like, the dough practically melts in your mouth, but try to imagine the best, sweetest, and most satisfying dessert you ever had and multiply that experience by ten thousand. It has such a wonderful aroma of homemade cooked bread, coated with sprinkles of cinnamon glittering around its brownish gold color. The feeling of holding that warm bread is that they are light, fluffy, and soft, especially the cinnamon powder grinding around your fingertips. And let’s not forget that amazing crunch you get from the sugary outside, and when you sink your teeth inside you taste the moistly dough and sugary through your taste buds and it makes you feel like you’re a different person, as if at donut just gave you a lifetime of joy and happiness in just a single bite. My least favorite type of food would have to be onions. It has such a horrible smell just as like a person would smell like if he didn’t take a shower for weeks. Just by looking at itself and its white color, you will literally cry your eyes out. And when you take a bite of one, you’ll hear a really nasty crunch as if stepping on a cockroach. Its taste is unbearable, as if something was rotting in your mouth, and by holding it, it feels squishy, hard and sticky. Hopefully, I won’t get to taste something horrible like that ever again in my entire life.

Taste and smell are examples of chemoreception, in which specific chemical compounds are detected by the sense organs and interpreted by various regions of the brain. (Wise, 2012) In this lab, we tested taste determination of solid materials-whether a person can taste a solid substance placed in the middle of their tongue when it is dry. It is unlikely that a person can taste the substance as it does not touch the taste receptors on the sides of the tongue.…

Just like the sense of smell, the sense of taste is a chemical sense. Quite often, the sense of smell and taste are linked together. It is also called gustation. When molecules, either liquid or soild form enter the mouth and stimulate taste receptors, it is called taste (Godlstein, 2015). As mentioned earlier, the sense of smell is one of our first response to stimuli and protector. Just like the sense of smell, the sense of taste also plays a vital part in keeping one…
