The most important characteristic to run a civilization is a stable food supply. A stable food supply was extremely important to the Ancient Egyptians, Sumers, and the people of Ancient
China. In Ancient Egypt they constantly had people collecting the harvest, and picking and plucking fruits for their wine. The Ancient Egyptians believed that a stable food supply was so important, that for anyone that died in their civilization/town had to come back as a spirit every once in awhile and collect the harvest for the people.
