INTRODUCTION

A flower is the symbol of beauty, purity, love, affection, and attraction sometimes it is known as a bloom or blossom. Flower have long been admired and used by humans, mainly to beautify their environment. Flower can help a person to send the right message. Many people assign their own personal meanings - a flower or color that might remind them of a special event or moment in their lives.

Consider a nurturing floral arrangement for a new mother, a sick friend or a grieving loved one – anyone who would benefit from a caring, loving embrace. Flower arrangements in pastel shades and the softest yellows, peaches, warm pinks, creamy whites and subtle greens make us feel safe, snug and loved.

Now-a-days in Bangladesh, flower has become a part of business, because of its huge number of use. Over the last 2 decades the flower business is getting increased remarkably.

1.1. Objective

The first objective of preparing this report was to fulfill the course requirement. The other objective was to identify the overview of flower business in Dhaka city and find out how rapidly growth flower business in our country’s economy to all the level of our country.

1.2. Scope

This study needed to deal with the flower industry in Bangladesh and other countries. In Dhaka city there is flower business in different places such as Shahbagh, katabon, khamarbari of farmgate.This survey and information collection was limited within in Shahbagh which is the center of flower business in Dhaka city. So, our working scope was limited. The report is prepared based on Shahbagh flower market.

1.3. Limitations

During preparing this report there were time and cost limitations. The necessary data that is requiring conducting this research is not sufficient. Sometime our respondent did not feel comfort to provide real condition to us.
