11-18-12 Introduction
The movie starts out in the early 1930’s, flying an older plain through the desert. They lose their radio along with voltage regulator, they are heading for Benghazi. Lew Moran forgets to tell Frank Towns about a loud or squeaky pulley in the starboard side of the plane, so Frank must have a look at it. As they are flying they get caught in a bad sand storm and loose both engines due to sand getting in there carburetors and such losing power. Frank Towns or the pilot of the aircraft decided he should put the wheels down as without doing so would make the plane totally in operable to fly again. When he finally puts the plane down along the way a few straps holding some heavy items breaks and kills two of the men in the crash. It also crushes the one guy that was sitting in the back. When they crashed, they were a little over a hundred miles off course and not only that they didn’t have any radio to signal for help. Everyone is curtain that there will be in some way air support that will come and find them.
Group Dynamic and Impact of Team Roles
In the beginning when the plane initially crashes Frank Towns is very sad and heartbroken it seems as he was the one that killed the two men, and also severely injured another man. But before this he takes leadership and tells people what they need to do and how to do it. Lew Moran was trying to calm down Frank and keep him under control. Captain Harris is the one that gets everything organized and all situated out. His two main concerns were to have flairs at all times and also the water supply at which they will need to conserve. At the beginning Heinrich Dorfmann and Dr. Renaud don’t really say much nor do much. But it seems as though that Heinrich Dorfmann is doing a lot of reading and drawing on some papers.

    This is a movie about the Battle of Mogadishu or commonly known as Black Hawk down. It started on the 3rd of October with what was supposed to be a quick “snatch and grab” operation. The operation was only to last thirty minutes. Under the command of Capt. Mike Steele they were to insert soldiers to capture two top lieutenants of a warlord Mohamed Farrrah Aidid. Things went terribly wrong when a black hawk was shot down by an RPG (rocket propelled grenade). It then became a rescue mission to save the soldiers from the crash site. The next thing they knew there were hundreds of Somali gunmen. They were now fighting for their lives. In the process of fighting their way to the crash site another black hawk was shot down. Now Rangers and Delta Force were fighting their way to two crash sites. In the process they secure the first crash site and are blocked in almost every direction. At a certain point in time two Delta Force snipers volunteered to cover the second crash site until a convoy could help get the downed pilot CW4 Michael Durant and in turn gave their lives defending him. They fought through the night facing thousands of militia, women and children. On the morning of the second day they secured the second crash site while the pilot CW4 Durant was captured. Then was the move to get out of the city alive. A convoy made up of UN and 10th Mountain Div. were to extract the injured soldiers. With not enough room in the vehicles the remaining soldiers had to get out of the city on foot. Running through the city running low on ammunition and energy they made it to the stadium in the UN Safe Zone.…

    One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest was a story about one man’s journey to sanity and the antagonists and protagonists that helped or hindered him along the way. Chief’s character struggled with his own sense of identity & his abilities, possibly from past failures. Everyone treated Chief as a “dumb mute” but Randall somehow knew that he was capable of much more. When Billy began to think rationally and not from a place of shame, his stutter disappeared. Nurse Ratchett hated the usurping of her authority that Randall created and purposely mentally tortured Billy by bringing up his mother and threatening to tell her he had had sex with the woman Randall snuck in. Billy had obviously had his development compromised in what Freud would call the “Latency Stage”. He felt the need to hide his sexuality and was unable to cope when Nurse Ratchett said she was going to tell his mother and consequently committed suicide.…
