First Knight Movie Review
Movie Review The title of the film was First Knight, which was released in 1995 and the director was Jerry Zucker and screenwriter was William Nicholson. The major actors included Lancelot, played by Richard Gere, King Arthur, played by Sean Connery, Guinevere, played by Julia Ormond, and Malagant, performed by Ben Cross. The First Knight is a story about a love triangle and the struggle for power. Lancelot falls in love with Guinevere, who is due to be married to King Arthur. Meanwhile, a violent warlord, Malagant, attempts to seize power from Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table. Throughout the film there’s a substantial amount of action scenes including horse chases, swordfights, and high-water dives. Sean Connery plays an excellent role as King Arthur as a bold, caring, leader. In addition, the film is recorded in several beautiful areas and credible costumes. Christianity is also cast in a respectable light, good and noble. The romance presented in this movie seems dull especially considering that Richard Gere was poorly miscast as Lancelot, extremely unconvincing as his role of the legendary hero. Furthermore, Julia Ormond is extremely underwhelming in this film constantly bouncing back between the two heroes in the film.
I would rate this film **, mainly due to the fact that this adventure/ romance/ drama comprises of poor dialogue and subpar acting. I would not recommend this movie to others because I believe it takes the legend of King Arthur, and turns it into a traditional Hollywood film. I believe this film appeals to both men and women due to its combination of romance and action. Despite some of the gory battle scenes, this movie contains zero profanity and sexual scenes (although suggestions are made as well as a few passionate kisses), making it appropriate for teenagers and

This movie is suitable for most of the public except the teenager nad children. Here is the reason why. In this movie, indecent is include in some of the scene. For example Julia and Winston having sex outdoor. Also nake scene is always happen. It is not saying that sex, naked is indecent but consider this scene is allow for the minority. Therefore children is not suitable to watching this. Second is the implication of the movie. The tone of the movie is satire the political and the reflections of the satire is the core of the movie. Most of the teenagers and children does not have enough knowledge and life experience to understand what the movie want to bring out. For them, they may only receive the surface message of the movie which have no reward of watching the movie. As i said before, this is a very meaning movie which is one of the masterpiece of the antiutopia. However the message inside the movie and some of the indecent scene which cause it was not suitable for the teenager and the children.…

The film had weaknesses such as that the Holy Grail had been found by three brothers whom where to protect it from outsiders. The lengths at which they took to guard and hide it, such as burying the shield with one of the brothers showing the city for the starting point in the map, burying the tablet describing the Holy Grail, and the biblical codes to access the Holy Grail. The film romanticized the Holy Grail and what it stands for. The brothers set up traps to ward off or even kill intruders. There, also, was a secret group to keep others from locating the Grail. If such a group were to truly exist, they would be more secretive in their actions. The film also showed more of a good versus evil plot line. The good, portrayed by Indiana Jones and his father, Dr. Henry Jones, and the evil, the Nazis. The Jones’ wanted the Holy Grail for proof of a divine power, the Nazis wanted it to help conquer the world.…

The princess Bride does have a few weak moments, and lacks development of its characters and their personal storylines as well as poor dialogue choices at times. But overall this a great love story with some moments worthy of an action/adventure. The Medieval setting does support the plot and the characters in many ways such as speech and personalities. This is a film for all ages, and anyone interested in more traditional love…

Exchaliaber is a movie about King Arthur and tells the story on how he came to be. Even though they this may or may not be true Arthur was a great king they said. There are different versions of this story. This movie isn't that greatest of all films but it sure got the point quite across. There are many scenes in this movie that show lot of chivalry but what are some great examples? The movie is greatly edited and sometimes a bit confusing and you don't really understand what is going on. The scenes that I think showed a lot of chivalry would have to be the scenes where he tells his wife that he must be king before a husband, second scene where he does not kill his best friend after he's accused of sleeping with his wife, and last one would have to be…

"It's a lovely story full of love and fun and adventure. I love this classy edition with illustrations that deliberately avoid linkage to the film. There is much more humor in the book than they could get into the film. The humor works very well and the characters are entrañables.Me likes adventures and actions in this book and especially how the book related to the cycle of hero…

Absa's use of untrained actors/actresses works well in this film by giving it a flavor of reality. I would recommend this movie to anyone interested in seeing things from a non-western point of view or anyone wanting to see how different cultures interact and intertwine. If you do not like subtitled/foreign films, I would not recommend this movie unless you have a grasp of the French language. There is some fun poked at the differences involving Islam and Christianity, so if you are not tolerant or can't find humor in religion, you may be slightly offended.…

In my honest opinion I did not like this book and I do not recommend it. The story itself is magnificent but the fact that it is 100% based off of the movie makes it pointless to read. They could have thrown in more deadly obstacles to face and made it worth reading. Overall it had more weaknesses than strengths. Strengths I can give is that if you haven’t seen the movie, then the book could definitely give you exactly what you’ve missed out on. It is a great story and is more than your average adventure tale. Reading it really does make you feel like you were a kid again, running around and being creative.…

The director made this movie was to catch the viewer’s eye with a true story. It was very interesting to watch because of all of the parenphena going on through out the movie. The director produced this in a way of everything being very precise but at the same time giving it a Hollywood twist. All of the lighting, soundtrack and imagery are on spot and having Leonardo play the role of Mr. Belfort was excellent casting. It felt as though the movie had more than one climax as it as so exciting.…

My evaluation of the book is that there are some strengths and weaknesses. The weaknesses are that the author does not give much background on some of the characters, some things in the book are not explained fully, and the ending of the story was fast paced and too short. Some of the strengths are the author uses lots of imagery to describe the characters and their personalities, She continues the themes of friendship and what it means to be a hero, and the author portrays the characters in a way that causes the reader to connect and relate with…
