First Dates Palms sweating, blood rushing, heart thumping, pressure to be perfect- all stemming from a tiny little crush. A first date is a milestone in a teenager’s life, and could make a big impact on how the rest of their dating life comes to be; but sometimes they don’t always go as hoped for. The personalities of two people ultimately determines on how a first date goes. Common personalities of first date participants consist of shyness, affection, and immaturity. Some people regretfully remember their own first date, and “awkward” is the only word that comes to mind. Her shyness as well as his became a problem- their personalities were so similar that neither of them knew what to say. Absolutely nothing came to mind to fill up the empty air that was sitting in between them. The nervous laughs, the darting of eyes, leading up to the point when they had nothing left to talk about except school, or even worse- the weather. Just like that thunderstorm that happened to disappear, they wanted to from that date as well. The perfect date that was dreamt about for days and nights began to quickly drop into the pit of awkwardness. It was the stereotypical first date- they should've seen it coming. But in the end if things don’t turn out well, don’t worry about it too much because there will always be more chances. Others, though, may have had some luck compared to those who've spent their evening with a boy whose coyness was just unbearable. The people who had a real love connection and had a great time were fortunate (parallelism). They laughed about how many times she had missed almost every ski ball she had thrown, which allowed him the opportunity to subtly put his arm around her. He guided her through each throw, causing her teenage heart to pound dramatically. Both of them were so affectionate to each other that they were entranced by their own perfect world.
