Fiona's False: A Narrative Fiction
Fiona and her friends are on the run from the ruthless witch-hunters, seeking refuge in the werewolf city of Dogtown. But sadly for Fiona, no sanctuary awaits them there.

Plagued by its inhabitants and her own twisted past, Fiona is searching for one thing: a way out.

Her only hope is to complete a series of grueling tasks set forth by a gorgeous—but terrifying—sea-demon. If she can fight her way to survival, she’ll gain the chance to defeat the hunters. But if she fails, she faces an eternity of torment that makes her current predicament seem like a walk in the park.

A young child of war with an identity crisis, whom we watch grow into a brave, mature and confident being . Nadia first arrives in Canada after the end of world war II with a woman Marusia and a man Ivan, who pose as her parents. Nadia was kidnapped by the Nazis and her real parents were murdered. Nadia had first met Marusia after she was stolen from her family and placed in the lebensburg program, a program where hitler tried to create a pure race which consisted of "aryan looks'. During the program Nadia was sent to a camp where she was taught ' how to be German'. She was stripped of her identity and separated from her sister Lida who did not resemble the idea of a pure race. After Nadia served her time in the camp she was placed with a German family and this is where she met Marusia (the cook). Nadia eventually puts her fear behind her and builds up enough courage to flee to Canada with Marusia for a better life. Throughout the chapters we see the turning points in Nadia's life that influence her character changes. During the course of the novel stolen child Nadia's character goes through a distinct transformation, which could be seen through the development of her courage, self-awareness, and self-sufficiency.…

Sarah soon hears the two scream and starts to run into the woods to find them.. Sarah soon becomes panicked and full of worry as she runs as fast as she can. As she trips over a root of a nearby tree, she hears her name being screamed to her, as it is her friend Susan being drug deeper into the heart of the forest. She finally notices what the other figures out what the other figure is, it is Susan, but she is horribly mutilated, almost entirely skinned, along with her head detached from her body. Sarah screams and runs back to the campsite, with the wendigo right behind her. The beast then grabs her leg, but she kicks it off of her, running farther ahead.     Stanley Fish discusses how we in society base our lives off of assumptions. Using the example of Dorothy and the tree, Fish is able to show how with our assumptions, we as people categorize others and things into what we believe to be correct. Whether or not we have actually taken the time to figure out if we are right is irrelevant. He notes that we should just “keep trying to expand our sense of ‘us’ as far as we can”, so we can avoid judgments and isolating ourselves from the rest of society.
