In the thrilling adventure, Finding Nemo, directed by Andrew Stanton and Lee Unkrich, Marlin, the father of Nemo, goes through life very cautiously, scared from everything that seems unsafe for him and his son. He has been like this ever since his wife, Coral, passed away trying to save her baby eggs. Nemo was the last egg left so Marlin had to protect him with his life. First of all, while Marlin is taking Nemo to school he tells him “That's my boy. So, first we check to see that the coast is clear. We go out and back in. And then we go out, and back in. And then one more time--out and back in. And sometimes, if you wanna do it four times--” (Stanton, Unkrich, X:XX) This shows that Marlin tries to keep his son safe from everything around him.…

Since the documentary “Blackfish” aired earlier this year Seaworld Inc. has faced a public perception nightmare as its market shares and park attendance has declined to record lows. At this point Seaworld Inc. may be at the point of no return with its current business model and the only saving grace may be to re-brand entirely in order to remain open. Immediately following the airing of the documentary, Seaworld Inc. went on the defensive about its conservation efforts and how their work benefits aquatic wildlife as a whole. Despite this effort, which is fairly noticeable once you visit the company webpage and social media outlets, Seaworld Inc. is still in financial disdain. Listed below are my ideas as to how Seaworld can pull away from the current negative image and win back the general public.…

My last source seemed to sum up strangely well, The article from The New Orleans CityBusiness newspaper. This article tells seaworld's opinion a little after the court ruling, releasing new information about their updates on the parks. Seaworld CEO Joel Manby, even noted the change in the company over all, saying that they were evolving with the new expansion on the orca exhibit that has a “conservative message”. Profits declined on the orca shows after the release of the documentary Blackfish, and after the very public court case between the california coastline commission, and the company. The conservative and anti abuse outlook that most of the public has seaworld had to change to avoid bankruptcy and the fall of the company. So the one hundred million dollar expansion is going to giving seaworld visitors a natural message, even though Seaworld was unhappy about the court ruling. The CEO said, “company had no other choice because the ruling set a "bad precedent" for not only SeaWorld but all zoos, aquariums and other…

When I was eight, I learned just how cruel irony can be. From a young age, I had always been interested in space. In fact, one of my earliest memories is watching Disney’s animated adaptation of Treasure Planet. As a four-year-old, it was impossible not to fall in love with a movie about pirates in space, and the movie influenced what I wanted to do in life. After that, whenever I was asked what I wanted to do when I grew up, I would say I wanted to be an astronaut. However, the challenges life throws at you, do not always make it possible to follow your dreams. Discovering that I had severe motion sickness dashed my hopes of becoming an astronaut, but it did not change my motivation.…
