RAP Model Application The RAP Model address the leader’s ability to act, the racial dynamics of the group, and the imperatives for the leader action. The RAP framework assumes that effective outcome in any multiracial group require that leaders carry out three essential tasks. First, they must recognize the critical importance of the racial dynamics of the group and their own ability to act. Secondly, they must anticipate the source of racial tension and help members deal with these tensions. Thirdly, they must be prepared to problem solve if issues become problems.     One of the most effective teams I have been a member of is the Lindsay Street Baptist Church Senior Usher Board. Our board is made up of individuals of the same race.
