Fight with love or fight for love
May 2014 was by far one of the most life changing moments I ever experienced,On Sunday mornings we always hope to have that extra sleep we have been missing the whole working week. It was a warm, clear day. The laptop was on, the music was slow and I didn't have a care in the world. All of a sudden there was a loud noise outside my door & continuous bell rings. I opened door to see my room partner ketan seriously wounded. he sustained injuries on head and his face was covered with blood. his nose was bleeding and his arms and legs were badly bruised. I was frozen to my core to see him, I dint knew what to do I just stood shocked and numb.he came tumbling in the room and crashed on the floor with heavy breath as if he was out of breath.

After taking some deep breath and realigning my fears I lifted him and put him in my car and drove him to city hospital apart from bizarre questions in hospital I managed to admit him. I Informed his parents and was waiting outside operation theater.zillion thoughts running across my mind about what would have happened , every second passing was increasing my fear.

He was being operated , I managed to see him though the operation theater see through glass. he had white bandage on his forehead and plaster for his leg , seriously he was looking like a clown in this dress. I visited his room where he was kept the next day.1st day was filled with family drama as to why my kid was injured and all relatives flocking around him to know his state of health. I came to know from his family that he skid off the road from his bike , but some how I had this strange feeling that he was telling the lie like a true friend i knew him, this injuries were not from skidding off the bike.

As some days passed and families were off the hospital and in the night I was sitting besides him sharing a cup of Tea and having casual conversation amongest many question landed this question of mine " What did actually happen Ketan ?" was my question to him

It was the summer before my sophomore year in high school. Break was ending, and schools were opening soon. We just moved from a small town called Sikeston to Saint Charles, Missouri due to my dad’s new job. I have lived in Sikeston my whole life, and I did not fully understand why we all suddenly had to move. I was slowly starting to adjust to my new life in Saint Charles and my new school when twelve days after I moved, I received a call informing that one of my closest friends passed away. The whole conversation felt surreal, but I still remember that day, August 21st. I saw my friend Aubrey two weeks before he passed away, the happiest, sweetest kid I knew. I did not understand why that was the last time I would ever see him again. I did not understand exactly what happened. I did not understand why Aubrey out of all people had a tumor in his ear. That was the first time that someone close to me…

Throughout my 13 years I have been through so far, I have thankfully not experienced losing someone really close to me, losing a prized possession, etc. Everyone hopes these things will never happen, but I know one day I will, even when trying to avoid them, it’s impossible. However, there was one moment that made me realize all the grateful things I already have around me. This day, was Thanksgiving day of 2012, in Central Park, Pasadena, when I was helping out at a little event for the homeless.…

They began discussing how to get him to the gurney. They talked about taking out my bedroom window as they could not maneuver the gurney into my bedroom they would just lift him out the window. They had started an IV to bring up his blood pressure as it had dropped drastically to around 55 over 40. He started to perk up enough he could walk to the hallway to the gurney and there was no need to take out my window. I was grateful, not that my father was not worth it but what a mess that would be in a block house. They loaded up my dad and off they went, I followed in my…

I hugged him and tried to be strong as I walked away from my support system. I was pricked three times in the finger, trying to test my blood rH. The nurse asked me my age, trying to make small talk, asked me what college I went to. “I just turned 17, and I’m still in high school.” She just looked at me with the saddest eyes, I had seen thus far, and then put her head down trying to become occupied by what she was doing. In the back of my mind, I decided I needed to leave, that I was in the wrong place and I was making an immature irresponsible decision by being there. But I stayed, and I answered the nurse’s questions as I followed to the next room, for the next part of the…

I had a neck brace around my neck and IV’s stuck all in my arms. I started to panic, I was lost, confused and scared. My best friend was there in the ambulance trying to calm me down. But still, all I could think about was the reaction of my parents when they found out what happened. Once we got to the hospital, the paramedics took me to Emergency Care. The doctors ran many tests on me: MRI’s, CAT Scans, and X-Rays, whatever test you can name – they ran on me. As I waited for my results, the doctors came in and explained to me what happened. An intoxicated driver with a gun ran the red light and hit me in a head on collision. The driver not only totaled my mother’s car but also totaled his own car too. The good thing was that he was okay. I didn’t know what to be happier about; the fact that the other driver was fine or that the accident was not my fault. Selfish right? But I’m sure if you were me at the time, you would think the same thing.…
