After reading this week’s readings, it was interesting to see how influential Fidel Castro was. The song, For Us, It Is Always the 26th of July was about the attack led by Fidel Castro on the Moncada Barracks against the Batista government on July 26th, 1953. The ¬¬¬_____ mentions that July 26th remains Cuba’s most important holiday. The next text, History Will Absolve Me is a speech by Fidel Castro as he defends himself in trial for the attack on the Moncada Barracks. This was notably his most famous speech.
