In this fast paced world today, technology has provided great advancements in the quest to make the life of mankind better. When did the simplicity of the family gathering around the dinner table sharing a meal while discussing the day?s adventures become inconvenient? Families made a point to set time aside for fun activities together, and pass down to the young exactly what true family values are. Theses treasured values today have become just echoes of the past. Technology has replaced these beliefs with dining out or grabbing a quick bite to eat from a fast food restaurant. Even the beautiful vivid imagination of the youths? amazing adventures has become blemished by technology, and are now nothing more than ghosts. Technologies vast array of devices currently provides society with cellular phones, computer games, and texting. All of which have created the abscission between the youth and society. Destroying the fabric of humanities core values. Technology has left the youth nothing more than empty shells, void of the ?four critical factors necessary to achieve healthy child development are movement, touch, human connection, and exposure to nature.?(Cris Rowan) Suddenly society is now faced with a Bladen disregard towards others.
