Fer Unit 1 P3 Extra
Asda structure is a tall hierarchical organisational structure. It is an organisation in which power and responsibilities are clearly specified and allocated to individuals according to their standing or position in the hierarchy. This way, employees become loyal to their department and look out the best interest in their area, gives opportunities for promotion motivate employees to perform well, and also its obvious for the employees to know their authority and their level of responsibilities.
Employees responsibilities
Area manager (Philip Davies has to make major and long term decision which could be vital to Asda, he has to actually run the business day in day out and he has to attend regularly board of directors meeting and some office work duties. The store manager Gary Hall has a a little similar job to the area manager apart from not communicating with the board of directors and the store manager has to work with the employees and have to make sure that everything is going well throughout the store. The store manager is responsible for the performance that goes on in the store. The finance manager Sue Williams is responsible for a lot of things, the most important one is the finance department in which Williams has many responsibilities like: Accounting ,Budgets ,Salaries. Customer service manager Ben Adams is responsible for making sure that every customer goes happy. His job is to tell his customer service team how to make their customers happy and not just making the customers happy, also making the sales. Market research manager Ian Robert is responsible for everything that goes in the market research department The duty manager James David is responsible for a variety of things, but mainly in charge of the stock. James responsible for all trade operation and he has to make sure that all the employees in the duty department all work together and all work to their full potential and make sure all employees are happy in their working
