Feminist Persuasive Essay
Another big reason why feminism should be embraced more in today’s society is because of stereotypes. Many people have realized that certain stereotypes aren’t true, but that doesn’t mean assumptions aren’t still made about gender. In fact, these gender stereotypes have become more like rules that a specific gender is supposed to follow. A few examples, among many, would be that women cook and clean, raise children, are flirts, are not as strong as men, and do not like things that may make them look masculine. Men like sports, are always in charge, are lazy and messy, do not cook and clean, and do not like things that may make them look feminine. Shouldn’t we all just act more like feminists and not advocate for gender roles? Unfortunately, many people would say no. We already know how hurtful and untrue gender stereotypes can be, it's the same with feminist stereotypes.
