Society consists mainly of men and women. Men have a high status in history. Although people in modern life say that all men are created equal, in many fields like politics or business, man's status was higher than women. This is not what people want to see, feminism should be fearless.
In New York, almost all of the statues are men. Although the latest and most popular sculptures are not a woman, Fearless Girl which facing the Charging Bull has become one of the most popular sculptures. She's a feminist symbol. She reminds people of their brave daughter(McCarthy, pp.2). When looking at her, people will think that men and women are equal(McCarthy, pp.2). No matter in which country, the whole society was controlled by men, which was not changed until the last hundred years. From the beginning of the 20th century, numerous campaigns were launched aimed at winning over the equal rights for women. Since then, women status has improved much. In the modern world, the fact that women are playing a more and more important role in society has been accepted by most of the people. Now women tend to go out of kitchen and contribute their strength to their career. Actually, they do really very well or even better than men in arts, services, management and many other industries. Giving attention to both family and career, women in the modern world are under much more pressure than before. However, most of them consider it worthwhile.
There is still a long way to go, people are always controversial about feminism. Only a few women in the field of business and political level. There is still a lot of sexist. The symbol of feminism is going to be removed in New York. These are enough to prove that society is unequal to women.
Overall, feminism is a collection of movements aimed at defining, establishing, and defending equal political, economic, and social rights and equal opportunities for women. The Fearless Girl is the epitome of what people expect. Even though she will be removed, the campaigns for feminism will not end, they should be fearless like the Girl and will never
