Famous Place Would You Like to Visit
An enjoyable event that you experienced when I was at school The enjoyable event that I experienced when I was at school is travelling to Dawei with my teachers and friends for prize giving ceremony. This ceremony was for outstanding students at Grade 11 matriculation exam and was held by the government of Thinnintharyi Region. It happened on July, 2011. As soon as my teachers received the information of regional prize giving, they replied and gathered the outstanding students including me. We discussed with our teachers for expense to go to the Dawei. We borrowed a bus for three days with the cost of 250,000 per day. We started to travel at two days before the ceremony for rehearsal ceremony. We traveled to reach to Dawei for 12 hours including the rest from Myeik which is the started point. Not only we went across many mountains but also the roads are very rough and muddy since it was a rainy season. Therefore we are very tired but I was very happy because I could see many different views from mountains. When we reached to Dawei at evening, we stayed at No.3 Basic Education High School, Dawei. At the next day we went to Dawei City Hall for rehearsal ceremony. And then we visited to many famous pagodas at Dawei including Shin Koe Shin pagodas. Before we left form Dawei we bought Dawei ethnic snacks such as fish crisps. At two days after we reached Dawei we went to again Dawei City Hall for prize giving ceremony. After we received the prizes, we went out the study tour to Dawei deep seaport. This is a very enjoyable place and the sea is bluish. Then we went to Maung Ma Kan beach. This is one of the famous beaches in Myanmar. In this beach, sand bank is white and wide. We stayed at the beach for a night. At night we held happily the camp fire festivity. We bought accessories made of snails as keepsake. At next day we returned to Myeik. I particularly remember this event because this is my first enjoyable trip with my teachers and friends.

We had the chance to visit many tourist attractions in Singapore like Chinatown, Little India, the Discovery Centre, Marina Barrage, Merlion, etc, but the most interesting was the Universal Studio. We reached Clifton at about 9 a.m. The site was very beautiful. Cool and refreshing breeze was blowing. First of all, we began to swim in cold water. After the bath we had tea with light refreshment. After that, some of us enjoyed camel-ride and horse-ride while others played at card and chess. It was now lunch time. Each of us had brought with us the best of dishes prepared at home. We all enjoyed our delicious lunch. Then we had an amusing program of songs and funny stories. Akbar entertained us with his songs. It was discovered that he was very good singer. After that some of us started playing football on the sandy shore. Some of my friends collected sea shells and colorful pebbles. Now it was evening. We had tea at 5 p.m. The last item of the picnic was a group photograph. We all than packed our stuff and were ready to go home.…

I still remember standing out on the deck of the USS Hayler for the first time as we pulled out of Norfolk Naval Station in Norfolk, Virginia. The year was 1996, and I was in for some of the most memorable experiences of my life. During the course of my ten years in the US Navy, I was able to visit forty-seven different countries and spend a total of almost five years out at sea. There is nothing like the very first time we pulled away from the pier and headed out to sail the ocean. The ocean to me represented escape from what I thought was a boring childhood, new beginnings, and a life of adventure. I found that the ocean heightens my senses and rejuvenated my spirit. What wonders or adventures were we going to experience on this cruise? Would the sea of dark blue and sometimes unforgiving, powerful, and relentless waves claim our ship or cause any sleepless nights while we sail on them? The sea never disappointed me, and provided many fond memories during the course of those ten years; nevertheless, they and the places I visited during this time will not be any of the places I choose to write about for this essay.…

Last summer, I and my friends went to Vung Tau by motorbike. We had two interesting days there. We start at 6a.m. Everyone gathered at Ben Thanh Market. After about one and a half hour, we got to Long Thanh stop station. We stopped there for 15 minutes and enjoyed the fresh milk which is a special drink there. Then we continued riding to Vung Tau city. After 1 hour we got there. We stayed in a nice hotel from which we could see the beach and it was certainly a good view. Then we went around the city and visited many interesting places. We took a lot of photos during our trips. Then we stopped for lunch at a seafood restaurant. The foods there were, I must say, extremely delicious. Then we got back to the hotel and rested for 3 hours. We went to the beach at about 4p.m. The water was so warm at we played under the sun. We also tried driving canoe and playing parachute. It was quite an unforgettable experience. At night, we went to the beach at took part in a local party. We danced and enjoy the beach at night. The day after we got back to Ho Chi Minh City. Although it was almost 5 months since I went on that trip but I will never for every memory about it. it was the most exciting trip I have ever gone in my life.…

No trip to the Philippines could be complete without seeing the spectacular Banaue Rice Terraces. Carved from the mountain ranges about 2,000 years ago without modern tools by the Ifugao tribes, these magnificent farm terraces resemble giant steps reaching up to the sky. Locals to this day still plant rice and vegetables on the terraces, although more and more younger Ifugaos do not find farming appealing and emigrate to the cities.…

Once we arrived at the destination, we immediately settle down in the hotel room. The bus riding brought us an unforgettable memories and we had enjoyed the greatest moment, chitchatting, singing pop songs and laughing together. I noticed that we were already bonded and literally grouped. We then took our first group photo on the beach. By then, we were divided into groups to play around. Damai is indeed a fun place for outdoor activities and the view is superb, one that we could never forget. Nevertheless, the weather was extremely hot and was unsuitable for activities on the beach. So some of us have decided to soak into the pool and just chilling around. Some other girls who were not interested to swim decided to have their girls talk under the coconut trees. The scenes were memorable.…

One thing that struck me was the warmth and hospitality they have shown and given us. They welcome us to their home ad treat us like guests. They serve us food and drinks alongside with their profuse apology "pasensya na ho kayo, ito lang ang kaya namin", although they might not have enough for themselves. They are very thankful for the help our school has given to their children, which might be one reason why they wanted us to be as comfortable as possible . On the house our group was assigned to, we noticed that sandals and slippers were removed before entering the house. We asked the owner if it was necessary for us to remove our shoes since the path leading to their house was muddy, but she hastily replied "ay wag na po! ‘wag na!" So we just wiped our shoes and entered the house with it. It was only when we entered the house, not more than the size of my room, did we realize that the same place we stood was also where they slept! And we trampled it with our muddy shoes.…

Up to now, I still remember my fantastic holiday to Nha Trang city with my friends when I was in Vietnam. It was on the warmth of a summer day in August, 2009. After I graduated high school with a high graded, my parents gave me four days summer vacation with my friends. Hence, I searched some wonderful places on the internet and discussed with my friends about those places. Afterward, we decided to go to Nha Trang city that had a lot of beautiful beaches because a beach trip in the summer was always a good idea for us who lived far away from the sea. In the beginning, we left home at 5a.m because it took eight hours to go there. Along the street, we stopped three times for breakfast and lunch, so we arrived to Nha Trang at 3p.m. After we checked in two rooms at Angle hotel, we went to the nearest beach and looked for a store where we might hire a small boat to go squid fishing. When night fell down completely, we finally hired a boat and started going squid fishing. At that time, the surface of ocean was calm except there were some waves running up. Moreover, the cool wind covered my body when we were far from the seashore. While we were fishing, we suddenly heard someone yelled, "Help, help me!”. Thus, we looked around to determine where the sound came out. Over there, it took about a half mile to our boat; I saw something rising out of the surface. A woman was about to sink into the water. Immediately, my friend, Dat, jumped out of the boat and swam to the woman. When she was on the boat with us, she seemed exhausted and couldn’t speak any words. Therefore, we brought her to the hospital and tried to contact with her husband. After her husband came to the hospital and said thanks for our helping, we left the hospital and backed to our rooms. Although we canceled our squid fishing, we were very happy because of saving a person. The next day, we decided to visit Vinpearl Land in two days. It was located on Hon Tre Island, and it was the…

I can't forget that date-February 18,2006, when I took my first step on one of the most wonderful tourist spots and the country,s pride-the Boracay Island. It was also when I had my most wonderful experience as a student. From Kalibo, Aklan, I rode on a van for an hour until I reached Caticlan. From Caticlan, I rode on a boat for fifteen minutes going to Boracay Island, Malay, Aklan. I was immediately fascinated with its white sand, its beaches, and its people. Together with my other student-delegates, I had my shopping at the "Tiangge" and I also had my picture-taking at…
