In the movie Falling Down, William Foster was a poor and recently laid off defense worker who faced many problems that caused him to disintegrate. During the beginning of the movie, he goes into a convenient store for change to make a phone call. In order to do that he had to buy a can of soda. When the Korean worker told him how much it was going to cost, he was furious and started to rant about how outrageous the prices were.
