For whatever reason the day this sin took place King David had stayed behind in Jerusalem while Joab and the Isaraelite army went out to fight the Ammonites.
I want you to picture the scene - David after having an afternoon snooze gets out of bed and walks around the palace roof, he can see right across the city.
The King surveys the splendor of His Kingdom, Looking down he spots a very beautiful lady taking a bath. He immediately sends out a messenger to find out who she is. Upon being told that she is Bathsheba the wife of Uriah the Hittite. A messenger was sent back out to request her presence at the palace. Well I bet David couldn't believe his luck not only did The very beautiful Bathsheba arrive, but Her husband Uriah is out at war alongside Joab and the Israelite army. David's senses leave him and an adulteress act is committed.

Ok so a great sin, but he'd made a mistake - one sin committed and lesson learned??

Two nights runnings he tries to coax Uriah into going home without success, he point blank refuses, there was no way he was going home when his fellowmen were standing guard against the enemies, and so he stayed at the palace gates with the guards. Uriah was certainly outshining King David In the loyalty department.
David was in it up to his neck, there was no way he could squirm his way out of this one. He was going to have to get rid of Uriah all together.

Now whether he thought because he'd committed one sin he may as well add another I don't know, but David goes from a moment of madness to premeditated murder.
He instructs Joab to place Uriah on the front line where the battle is the fiercest. Uriah was killed alongside those he faithfully stood side by side with for no other reason than to cover up someone else's sin.

Bathsheba mourned her husband, but when the period of mourning was over she was then taken By David to be one of his wives where she bore their son.
Winner winner, David now had a new wife a family and his sin covered up.
But had it? What about his relationship with God while all this had been going

Petra Strorm is a big help to David and the entire group as she is the main reason they had gained the chance to reach the “promised land.” Petra Strorm had unbelievable telepathic prowess where she could send thought shapes extremely far distances, like she did when she was drowning or when she communicated with the Sealand woman halfway around the world. If Petra and the Sealand women never sent thought shapes to each other, the Sealand woman would never have come to the group’s rescue. It’s Petra’s far-fetched powers that had sparked hope in the midst of the others. Rosalind Morton was also another helpful person in David’s journey because she had taken the responsibility of protecting Petra when in the Fringes. This saved David the worry because Rosalind acted as a mother for…

On a positive note, David and his forces were able to take control of Jerusalem, which was a major stronghold that withstood multiple attempts of siege. However, opposition came from within the Israelite nation on multiple fronts. The execution of Saul’s descendants and the rebellion of both Absalom and Sheba all demonstrate how David did not necessarily have the support of all of Israel.…

The conditions that were placed on these promises were (1) keeping God's commandments and (2) walking in His ways. Jeroboam's first sin as king of Israel appeared to be the sin of unbelief (1 Kings 12:26). God had said that his kingdom would be established, but Jeroboam feared that he would lose it to Rehoboam if the people went to worship at Jerusalem. Ignoring God's promise and setting out to establish his kingdom by his own hand, Jeroboam began to lose what he was attempting to keep. In violation of God's commandment and in rejection of God's way, Jeroboam made two…

We find that she does not lack beauty; this is a reason why many men desire her. Hardy uses words such as “young and attractive” and “the handsome girl” to transmit Bathsheba’s beauty. To further enforce how Hardy wants us to perceive Bathsheba, Hardy used a name from the Biblical figure who was also named Bathsheba, she too was beautiful and men fell deeply in love with her upon their first gaze. However, sometimes with such beauty comes a large amount of vanity, which is Bathsheba’s biggest weakness.…

Solomon and Sheba are sexually linked in the popular imagination -- it makes a better story than what appears in the canonical Books of the Old Testament.
