JANE EYRE in terms of the 19th century women. When Jane Eyre was published by Charlotte Bronte (1847) prefers to publish the book with an another name which is Currer Bell. Reason for that it was received with grand admiration by some critics, and solid criticism by others .About this situation Lady Eastlake real name is (Elizabeth Rigby) harshly criticises Jane Eyre as dangerously immoral in her critique .She suggested that if the book was a woman ‘She had long forfeited the society of her own sex.’ (Shuttleworth) .This novel reflects of the Victorian Age’s features very well.
We can see a lot of the place in the novel where are depicted as 19th century women and the roles of womenhood.

Jane Eyre handle peaceless views as to how women ought to act and behave . In Lady
Eastlake’s eyes ,almost an overthrowing of social order. In 19th century; women were restricted all kinds of things, pushed the rest of the society ,were seen scorned and despised.
On the contrary ; Jane demands and fights to get equality and respect .As evidence ; Jane says that to Mr.Rochester : Am I an automaton ? Am I a machine without feelings ? She says to him as one spirit to another. ‘equal –as we are ‘ ( ch.23).

Jane Eyre includes a remarkable and unique character in the flappable plain, Jane who refuses to be in shadow of any man : “she spoke with surprising authority about a woman’s desire for liberty – ‘for liberty I gasped ; for liberty I uttered a prayer .’ ” (Gilbert and Gubar,
The Norton Anthology of Literature by Women,p. 471)

In the novel Jane lives with her aunt and cousins because of to be orphan and but she never find happiness. Mrs.Reed and her children are very grim towards Jane, she usually cannot put up with their behaviours. Her grim aunt decide to send her a school
