Eye Rhyme In 'My Papa's Waltz'
“Eye rhyme” means that two words like as though they should sound alike. However, when they are spoken they have different tones. A “slant, half or near rhyme” is what we find in most poetry. Not all rhymes may b=not be perfect or exact, but they still may sound alike. Perfect rhymes are rhymes that are exact.
An “ed stopped” rhyme is when the meaning of the line comes to a definite end. An “enjambment” takes place when the moaning does not end and continues on to the next line. One example of end-stopped lines: I love red. There are so many colors.
