Explain How Has College Affected Me
How has College affected me.

College has affected me in many ways. First off it has thought me to be more responsible. When you’re in college you are responsible for adding and dropping your classes no one does it for you, so if you don’t want a W on your transcript you will pay attention to all the dates the college provides to drop on time. Second reason it has allowed me to learn things that I thought I would never be interested in. When taking general ed classes you have to choose classes not by choice but because they are required for your degree and or to transfer to a four year college. I really wasn’t a fan of my Political Science class but it taught me how are country is ran and what makes up a government it

I learned about the different courses I have to take for my career of choice. I learned about how different schools set up the classes for the semester and how some colleges would let me choose whatever classes I wanted to take. I learned about the different programs that are provided in different colleges that would help me equip me more for what I want to do. I also learned about the different forms that I would be filling out such as financial aid. I was able to practice how to fill one out and the questions that would be asked, which will help me for when I go into college. I also learned about the different clubs, sports, and other activities that are provided in a college campus. It was the morning of move in day. I said goodbye to my home and headed out. I passed the local shopping market and my high school where I enjoyed a fun four years. As I headed to Norman I realized I was leaving everything I had ever known. All my life has consisted of living in the same house, going to school with the same kids, and going to the same supermarkets and restaurants. While I’d like to say I have developed a good idea of the world around me by visiting so many cities around the United States, in reality the only world I’ve ever known is the same one I have spent my whole life in. I have loved growing up in Northwest Oklahoma City with the friends that have helped shaped me into who I am today, however I relished the opportunity…

The second reason I believe college is worth it is because of all the opportunities to choose from in the career department. When you attend college you are given choices in which you want to major which help lead to the career in which choose to pursue. For example, colleges have a list of majors like biology, psychology, liberal arts and many more, which you choose from and even if your not satisfied with your first choice you're able to change your mind and do something else. There many classes in which you are able to take that expand your mind to this your never knew and they challenge you which makes you intellectually stronger in that field.…

Furthermore colleges has helped many students foster out of their shells and produce astonishing works that they had not ever imaged to do alone. And according to Pew Research.com three different generations (Boomers, Gen-Xers, Millennials) were asked if college was worth it and about 83% of all those students said that college did pay off even though the cost and investment was really high. In a similar way my own father went through this road and he didn't only manage to obtain that degree he also got the experience and education that a college gives you, he learned to be responsible, respectful and organized. And although there is a great amount of money put into college education at the end the outcome is worth more than the investment.…

So far my community college experience has been the best I’ve ever had. I have enjoyed the freedom, my coursework, and all the new friends I’ve made. When I first started college, I wasn’t excited at all. I just knew that the work wasn’t going to be as difficult as a university and I basically saw the whole idea as a joke. After just a couple of short months at Florida State College of Jacksonville, I see now that everything I thought about the school was just a simple minded cliché. Not only is this the same environment as a university but they have the same type of activities as well. I have not a doubt in my mind that going to a junior college prior to attending a university will set me up for the utmost success.…

Coming into my first quarter of college I did not know what to really expect. I was very nervous and thought to myself if I could actually be successful in college. As the quarter went on, yes it was difficult at times, but I managed to work hard and get through everything. I have had good experiences and I have had bad experiences. I have had a mixture of these experiences throughout my classes. Academically I did a relatively good job. Although most of the time I was lazy and watched netflix a lot, towards the end of the quarter I did better on fully completing my work as well as watching less television.…

Seven years ago I gained admission to pursue a B.A program in one of the prestigious universities in Ghana. The name of the university is Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). I was offered a four year bachelor degree program leading to a degree in Sociology and Social Work. Thus, I read BA Sociology and Social Work. I was so happy at the time because of two reasons. One was that, I had tried twice to be admitted into the countries universities but refused until finally the third time of which I succeeded. The second reason why I was happy was related to the fact that I had the opportunity to continue my education to a level that I had always dream about.…
