5. Kaleidagraph: Histograms and Statistics

5.5
The new histogram with a bin size of two looks different than the histogram with the bin size of five due to the histogram with size two being more specific and giving a different shape to the histogram due to, when looking at the histogram more precisely, having a drop in count at range 40 as well as ~47.5 that was not seen on the histogram with bin size of five.
6. Kaleidagraph: Scatter Plots and Fits
6.1
The scatter lot of mpg vs. time tells us about the structure in the histogram by result of the higher the concentration, the higher the bar level of each histogram bin.
7. Data Analysis

7.4
Typically the two estimates differ quantitatively between 85% and 1%, and the individual values vary from 75% to 140% about the main trend.

9. Questions
9.1
Changing the size of the bins changes the appearance of a graph and the conclusions you can draw from it.
9.2
The more specific values of concentrations changes the structure in the histogram with the smaller bins.
9.3
The parameter “errors” are about the size of the difference between the “fuzzed” parameters and the original one which is what you would typically expect.

10. Searching for Flaws
10.1
If the tires were under inflated you would expect a decrease in the miles per gallon of the car. Because speedometers are often off by 2-5 mph at 65 mph, a 3-8% error in the speedometer is very likely. Under-inflation would probably be

This causes the shape of the box plot to be quite spread out with the median and quartiles close together. The female writing hand box plot is also the same length as the writing hand box plot; this is because the minimum and maximum data from the writing hand came from females. When putting the male and female writing hand box plots in comparison to each other, you can see that females have a much larger range than the males as discussed before. This causes the female box plot to have a lower, lower quartile and median and a higher upper quartile. The median for males is only slightly higher than the median for females, keeping in mind that males had data from an eleven (11) year old and females had data from a forty two (42) year old. This can cause the data to be slightly swayed as there were not equal age groups for both box…

A histogram shows the distribution of data within the Income. In this Histogram graph of Income, it shows that the graph is not symmetrical. This histogram graph has a wider bell shape form. The graph shows that this graph is more like two graph because there is a clear difference between income generating from 20-40 and from 50-above. There are two separated cluster; therefore, the skewness of this graph is skewed right. Income has a lower value of kurtosis which indicates a lower, less distinct peak. The following table shows the numerical summary of Income:…
