The gentleman from Kansas turned to the man from California and said, "Calm down, sir, we're from Kansas and we know real wind. As long as the shopping center is still standing, the wind isn't worth talking about, much less calling 911."

Now that I've had time to think about this, the pigeon (I'll call him Charlie) might not have been blown off course after all. These are very accomplished professional beggar pigeons. Polished thespians, their clever begging ruses are world famous and the subject of numerous books and movies. Charlie was most likely using the wind as a ploy to get me to spill my bucket of boiled shrimp. Plan 'A' hadn't worked because I'd hung on to the bucket of shrimp, but plan 'B', the waitress with her French fries, had. Beggar pigeons aren't fussy. They'll eat off your table or directly from the

Throughout the novel, Delirium, birds were exhibited numerous times. Through tough times, both Lena and Alex looked up at them for inspiration to persevere. Somehow these tiny creatures had the power to change Alex’s perspective entirely. Previously, he had the belief that no a single soul in the society was able to acquire freedom; that everyone was controlled by the government. This was until he witnessed birds merely flying over the fence prohibiting citizens from leaving. This gave him the courage to escape, that the wall keeping him entrapped within Portland were not infallible. Birds used their wings to propel themselves over, he merely had to find wings of his own. These wings were later found on a motorcycle. Accompanied by Lena, he…

Although ADP (Automatic Data Processing) is one of the leading providers of business outsourcing solutions, it has weaknesses that negatively affect the company. One significant aspect of ADP is that the company has clients in many foreign countries, but less than only 20% of ADP’s revenues come from other regions of the world. The company has been majorly focusing on customers’ needs here in the US, keeping their clients up to date with the current laws and regulations (their HR department) and making payroll processing convenient. What they lack, though, is a diversified geographic. It’s important to concentrate on the US operations, but other countries have specific issues that may need to be handled differently. If ADP wants to expand and take full advantage of their services, they ought to pay more attention to their geographic diversification.…
