Introduction
In order to have a clear view of what this paper is all about, I will start by defining an incident action plan. Incident Action plan is the response strategy that is defined by incident commands where it contains the general tactics for achieving goals and objectives of the laid strategy while giving information on the event and the response parameters. Therefore, as a safety manger in the plastics manufacturing company, it is my mandate to give a clear i9ncident action plan regarding the fire incident involving the truck full of carton pellets within the premises of the organizations. In most cases, primary communication is mostly utilized. This includes shouting commands to many by mouth or by use of microphone. Information can easily reach vast majority of personnel within the organization premise. The second mode of communication relevant in this case is the secondary communication. This involves the use of telephones and phone calls to share information between different command centers. A good example is when requesting an ambulance to transfer victims and casualties to hospitals to receive specialized treatment. In addition, the personnel department can call staff using their private telephone numbers to confirm their presence and condition. Stickers and placards wit arrows pointing to the relevant department is another secondary communication to direct individuals to wherever they will seek assistance(Schottke, National Fire Protection Association & International Association of Fire Chiefs, 2014).
The safety message
The messages from the communication plan would coordinate emergency department and the medical department so that, a uniform message can be delivered to the head of personnel department regarding the safety of all the staff. Secondly, it gives emphasis on personnel fitting personal protection equipments and visiting the emergency department for counseling and treatment of injuries and prophylaxis. In big companies that have a large number of personnel, measures should be in place to ensure that, incidences and emergencies within the organization can be attended to promptly and diligently. In addition, an organization should have its own safety equipments with good safety standards to avoid cases of relying on external sources in responding to internal emergencies such as fire and accidents.
