Welcome to America, some things may be different here. This list should keep you out of trouble.

1. If you consume more than 1 alcoholic drink (beer, wine, and liquor) DO NOT DRIVE. It is against the law and a very serious and expensive mistake. An open container of alcohol in the car is a very serious offense as well.
2. You cannot walk around on the street with alcohol. You can drink at the bar, the outdoor section of the bar, in your home, on your balcony, at a party etc. If you walk in the street, sidewalk, or public facility with a container or in a drunken state of mind you will go to jail.
3. Walking home while drunk is considered “Public Intoxication”, it’s illegal. Taxis are cheap, use them.

Obey the crosswalk signs. Pedestrians have the right of way but America has crazy drivers. Be cautious when crossing the street.
9. Be aware of pedestrians while driving, some people don’t obey the crosswalks.
10. You can turn right at a red light, unless there is a sign prohibiting it. Check for traffic first.
11. If traveling be very cautious of animals crossing the road. (Deer, Bear, Alligators, Cow, etc)
12. If hiking, camping, or in the forest be very careful of your step. America has many venomous snakes and spiders that can kill you. Assume all are venomous, stay away from them.

14. If traveling, different states have different laws. If you’re not sure of a law ask someone.
